Might as well start my top 15 here:
[15] All Secrets Known
I'll fully admit to having not completely digested Blue Gives Way To Black but in my first few listens there was a few standout tracks. "All Secrets Known" is the most notable for some reason I can't quite place but I think it has to do with how raw the guitars blend together and how even after a decade and a half and minus a member the dark, dirty Alice In Chains sound still finds a way to sound fresh. Definitely not as complex as some of their early songs but it's compact and interesting enough where it doesn't overstay its welcome, my only slight problem with "A Looking In View".
[14] We Die Young
Now going all the way back to Facelift, this opening track harks back to the time where the band still fancied them a heavy metal group. What makes this track enjoyable is that rawness and how fast paced the song is. You get slammed with a verse, chorus and guitar solo of sorts within the first minute, but it's all so smooth and energetic. Nothing's perfected as far as their sound goes but it sticks true and delivers on the basic levels. A perfect set up to some great tracks not only on the rest of the album but the rest of their discography.
