A little band from Quebec called Karkwa!

Frenchies FTW!
;)

I'm gonna have to go with a French band too: Malajube. Really like them. Such a great rock band.

Also, Novembre is pretty awesome. With the risk of being killed, I have to say I prefer this band to Opeth.

That's understandable. Sometimes I feel the same way, but Opeth usually wins for me.

I kind of like Novembre more than Opeth also. I just prefer their sound and everything.

A couple I listen to where the language is something else then English:

*Alcest (French)
*Aviv Geffen (Hebrew)
*Björk (Icelandic)
*Emilie Simon (French)
*Kraftwerk (German)
*Lacuna Coil (Italian) (In some songs)
*Sigur Rós (Icelandic)
*Ulver (Norweigan) (On some of the earlier albums)

I also listen to a couple of Swedish artists, but that's my main language so shouldn't count.

Moonsorrow. Finnish I beleive

first verse of Karhunkynsi:

en enää yksin hallitse koskia ja metsää
puitani koura kyltymätön repii juuriltaan
kuka valtakuntani rajoja käydä uskaltaa
näin rikkoa iäisyyksien rauhaa?
korvessa monta asuu voimaa
vielä karhu kynsin teitäkin paikastanne muistuttaa

 :lol

That's very poetic Finnish. ''Normal'' talk isn't that silly.

No one listens to Mana?  Really good, versatile band from Mexico.  They sing in Spanish.  Plenty of Latin rhythms in alot of their tunes but more or less they're a straight forward rock band.  The singer kind of sounds like Sting (if Sting sung in Spanish of course).

I love Rammstein, and I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for tATu in the original Russian. Some J-rock/pop like Gackt, Malice Mizer or Dir en grey is also fine by me, too.

*Edit*:
tATu. . .  :blush
....

Oh wow. This thread is that old? Whatever, I still like tATu, so suck it.
HOLY MARY MOTHER OF GOD!!!!!  THIS is why LHK is the President of Awesome.

Why is everything you post the best thing ever said?  :lol

LHK is beyond EPIC.

Rammstein (German)
Turmion Kätilöt (Finnish, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwEhpPJDMM0&feature=related [I mean, that's just beautifully brutal ;D])
X Japan (Japanese)

On another note, surprising to see so many people mentioning songs sung in Swedish in this thread... I feel honoured  :D

:lol. No. They are a latin pop band and I've never found the singer to be similar to Sting. They have a great drummer though.
