Wait wait wait wait. I just thought of something.

Are we assuming Blastoise is being commanded by a trainer? If so, wouldn't it depend on the trainer if Blastoise does well enough against Bowser? And if Squirtle was fighting Baby Bowser, would Baby Bowser have Kamek to help him out? If so, Squirtle is fucked.

No, that's applying the rules of the pokemon universe the Bowser's status.

If Blastoise has a trainer, Bowser can just eat the trainer before smashing Blastoise.

Not necessarily. Wild pokemon are frequently shown to be capable of combat without a trainer.

And it's arguable that Bowser wouldn't be able to attack the trainer in the first place. It's partly a pokemon battle, and in a pokemon battle, attacks against the trainer are illegal. However this is partly applying Pokemon rules to Bowser. It could go either way.

Like The Voxyn just said (damn you getting to it before me!)  :yeahright , Bowser doesn't play by the rules... So I mean...

That picture is awesome.

Key points to be determined:

- Is turning into Giga Bowser a possibility?
- Where does the fight take place
- Trainer or no trainer. If so, would Bowser be able to just kill the trainer.
- Any help from the outside? (Minions and stuff)

I'm off to bed now, I shall ponder about this great battle until I fall asleep. I hope to gain some insights in the outcome, and I hope the outcome will be a defeated Blastoise.

:lol Good job on the pic.

Although simply saying "But the guy I'm voting for doesnt have to follow any kinds of rules" isnt really a valid argument. Especially since all kinds of "Pokemon World" rules are being applied to Blastoise.

Also, what level and moves does Blastoise have, and what weapons can Bowser use from the Mario universe.

We could say that Blastoise follows Pokemon world rules and Bowser follows Mushroom Kingdom rules. Or we take rules out all together and the apocalypse will ensue.

For that matter, which Bowser are we talking about?

He has so many different games that he's from. Same for Blastoise, right? Or no? I can't recall.

Name me an instance when Bowser has killed in cold blood. Just cut someone down.

And does Giga Bowser appear in any games besides SSBB's final smash?

It should be the Blastoise that evolves from the super cool Squirtle with shades from that one episode. Or did that one end up going with Ash?
Either way, he's by far the most badass Squirtle/Blastoise out there.

I guess both are just the natural and most common form. Bowser didn't change that much, and I don't think Blastoise has either.

Giga Bowser possible = Bowser wins
Giga Bowser not possible = ?

Name me an instance when Bowser has killed in cold blood. Just cut someone down.

And does Giga Bowser appear in any games besides SSBB's final smash?

He would when fighting another fat turtle.

He also appeared in Smash Melee.

There is also a form called Dry Bowser

Which is how Bowser appears once thrown in the lava (in NSMB).

This thread is actually keeping me from going to bed  :lol.

Name me two canon sources where Bowser killed in cold blood, and either transformed or existed as Giga Bowser.

I was actually just surprised that you were still debating this  :lol
Giga Bowser, although he would win, is just not fun to factor into this debate. Both should be in their most simple forms.

Okay, he didn't do it outside of Smash Bros.

But he could let Blastoise *faint* :neverusethis:.

Okay, really bedtime.

Okay, original forms then. But then we come to the point of attacks that Blastoise can use. Can he use HM's and TM's? That would change him from his original form imo and not be fair.

And what of Bowser's various weapons (such as that star rod previously shown by me) can he use? Think about his various armor and weapons from Super Mario RPG.

I suggest that we say they cannot use any items or TM's/HM's. We still have to set at which level the Blastoise is.

Well the only two logical ones are the level he evolves at or level 100.
Anything else is just picking a random level, IMO.

Agree. I vote he is the level he evolves. Level 100 isn't fair, it might be the equivalent of Bowser becoming Giga Bowser.

Blastoise needs no TMs or HMs. As I outlined a couple pages back, he has sufficiently powerful moves learned by normal levelup. Iron Defense, Hydro Pump, Rain Dance, Skull Bash.

And as for his level, I disagree. I think there is a third option in the average level of the final boss of the elite four. This would normally be the level Blastoise would be when a player first combats the elite four, and is more representative of his scope of power.

Let the debate rage!

Agree  :tup. Will he only have those four attacks or all the attacks he would have learned by that level?

If we judge by Pokemon rules (are we?) only four max. The people on the Blastoise side should pick the four.

Yeah, four max. The anime would include all, but I think it's been assumed that we're talking the games.

Oh, and I missed a word in my last post. I had meant to say "the average level of the final boss of the elite four's pokemon".

IMO. I'm open to other opinions, but I feel I've outlined the best possible combination for Bowser excluding TM/HMs

Another question:
Is the move set restricted to the Red/Blue days? Or is it fully updated?
If it is the most recent move set, then Blastoise can learn moves like Aqua Tail and Water Pulse.

We have to keep it to red and blue

Then Bowser can't do anything different than Blastoise could do around the time of Red/Blue (which rules out Giga Bowser).

Yeah, it'd be Bowser circa 1998, or whenever the originals were released.

I'm pro Bowser, but...

Hey wait...
Blastoise can't move in Pokemon Red/Blue. Bowser can. How would Blastoise ever reach the axe at the end of the bridge? And how would Bowser ever damage Blastoise with fire?

Good God.

People...

Are they both invincible to each other?  :omg:
