I will replace Mikael Åkerfeldt as Fear in The Theater Equation and join James Labrie, Marcela Bovio, Devon Graves, Heather Findlay, Eric Clayton, Irene Jansen, Magnus Ekwall and Wudstik on stage.
All three shows are completely sold out, but luckily the production team has decided to add a fourth show! Get your tickets for that extra show NOW! (taking place on the 19th of September at 3 pm)

Well, Anneke's role was announced for quite a while already, and the fourth show was added a few weeks ago I think, so nothing really new here. Although I'm really glad I've got the tickets for Friday show, because I'm not sure how the artists will manage to perform two shows in one day at Saturday.

I know there are just a few on the album, but I wonder if she will be able to perform growls.

I was doubting this too, but as far as I recall someone on this very forum told me Fear's growls will be performed by some lady from the Epic Rock Choir.

That is weird as all fuck. Hell, I'll take any reason to get Anneke involved in the project but that's an odd choice of role. I'm sure Dan Swano is busy too but he would have been my choice.

I'm guessing the cheese factor may be a bit too high for him to do in a live setting?  Plus, when is the last time you heard him do harsh vox?

This is the likely culprit.

Didn't he do the growls on the last Opeth tour though?

He still growls live. In fact, he made the recent setlists like that to entertain the old school Opeth fans as well, unlike the Heritage tour.

Also, yes, they have a growler in the choir.

Cool! Thanks.

Are Arjen and/or Anneke popular over there? I wonder why they do an acoustic tour there and not a single show in the Netherlands (acoustic show).

And a full setlist from one of the shows. https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/the-gentle-storm/2015/planetarium-budapest-hungary-6bca6a1a.html

They dont book huge venues but every time she's come here the venue has been full. And from youtube vids that seems to be the case wherever she performs.

Just bought myself the Artbook Bundle, the Artbook for TTOE was amazing. Arjen is one of those artist that I feel I wanna support just because he put alot of passion into his projects.

Yep, I went with the Artbook bundle too! Just got my preorder in. Damn expensive with the shipping cost for my country, though (26€ only for shipping, hell), but Arjen definitely deserves it. And I loved everything I've heard from this album so far, so that was basically the only option for me.

And... ordered. Thankfully the exchange rate isn't as godawful as it once was. I've skipped out on the signed and deluxe stuff for a release or two, but this finally broke me down again.

Also, I will hopefully have a review up before week's end.

I got the ltd. edition bundle as well, signed and with a t-shirt. Looking forward to this. I haven't listened to the samples yet because I want to go into this one pretty blind, but I trust Arjen and Anneke. Cannot wait to get this bundle in the mail. So much good music by my favorite artists/bands this year!

I've been trying to listen to my promo copy, but so far it's been a snooze fest.  Nothing is grabbing my attention and forcing me to listen.  I'll chalk it up to "slow, light music doesn't interest me", but let this serve to live in contrast to Nick's fanboy grade.

My favorite part of the video is when Anneke is in the streets, they can't seem to have more than a 2 second shot before someone in the frame clearly is watching and going "what the fuck is going on?" :lol

I'm glad they took a moment to acknowledge it and show her just talking with people.

Edit: After I posed I saw you and I were viewing the thread, and thought, he's gonna be pissed! :lol

Yeah, indeed. Hilarious. :lol Very natural reaction, in fact. And I like it much better than some generic videos made in the forest or wherever by those metal bands trying to tell the story. This one is fun, definitely Arjen's style.

Going to spin it a few more times now.
