Haven't heard it all the way through yet, but so far it's really strong. Lyrics are typical Arjen, but I don't mind that. One thing that stands out in particular is the guitar, Arjen is one of my favorite guitarists, and he's got a lot of great moments on here. The smaller cast of singers works better as well, I think, even though I really liked 01011001.

edit: Also, I noticed Arjen doesn't sing on the album. Maybe he had enough of that on his solo album? (which I still haven't gotten  )

A theatrical production of 'The Human Equation' is in the works:

Can't seem to find any info about it! Is it an official production because there's nothing on his facebook page, homepage or anything or is it a fan driven thing? Will it be in english or only in dutch? I NEED FACTS! Arrrggghhhhhh

It is an official production, but it's still under construction. The script is about finnished, it is is being produced by Yvette Boertje, who produced the Star One Tour in 2003. It will most likely be a Dutch production with musicians from over here. More info to follow.

Awesome. I understand that a production like this will be quite heavy financially so to do it locally makes sense. I guess we can only hope that the production will be a success so it can be set up in other countries as well.

I also hope so, and the cost factor is all decisive. The reaction so far is very enthousiasthic.

Star One III?!? Am I the only one who'd be super excited about that? I'd love to hear him Do his lyrical take on some recent sci-fi films from the last 4-5 years since the last one!

I just don't see this "new project" being another Ayreon album so soon after TTOE. Maybe another Guilt Machine album, or perhaps something entirely new?

Yea actually I remember him saying something about the possibility of a new Star One album but in this case he mentions a new project so i'm not sure what to think.  I'm mos def into Star One III though!  :metal

I think when he means new, it's just in terms of something that's just NOW happening, not that the whole project itself is entirely brand new. But I could be wrong. I feel like he's said something with a similar effect when referring to the last Ayreon album (that is, working on something new).

A third Star One album is high on my list for him if he's doing it. If not, does the man really need more bands on his discography?! :lol

It all depends on How the songs sound. They could be Guilt Machine, Solo, etcm..or an entirely new thing.

I remember he had a poll on FB what the fans want him to do next after TTOE, and of all the options, "something heavy" won, so it could indeed be another Star One album.

I voted "something folky" in that poll though, so I (obviously) want him to do some folky stuff. But as I'll buy anything this man will put out, it hardly matters.

As I also understood, he could also record something for this project, though it seems unlikely they'll gather enough funds to make it through.

I'm probably the only one that really wants him to make another Guilt Machine album.

Though maybe he's too happy for that these days, I dunno. :P

I guess it's ok if you're into that style of music, but for me it's pretty much all bland and boring minus a couple of songs overall.

Sure, it's not prog and maybe not your thing, but for the style of music, the three albums are all world class.

Allen/Lande > AMob

Anyway back to topic. This new project, it's not the theater project he's talking about? Most likely not given i'm not sure how much Arjen really is involved in that. Haven't heard anything about it really.
