I swear Arjen has already used all the good singers. Every singer I think of that I would want on this album has already been on an Ayreon album. :/

I could name a bunch I'd love to see (going off the top of my head, so I don't know if they had any bit parts on earlier albums).

Johnny Gioelli, Mark Boals, Altzi, Kelly Sundown, DC Cooper, Dec Burke, Alder, Matos, Edu, Tarja... lots of possibilities
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad
I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".

I'd like to add Tommy Giles,Steven Wilson and Ross Jennings to this list. Now thats a full album worth of singers right there :tup

SW won't, I don't believe. Tommy would be awesome, though.

It'd be a bit ironic if he got Tarja.

Why would he get Tarja when he can always get Floor?
I just hope Anneke is on the album and in a more prominent role than before. She always sounds so amazing on Ayreon (as she does in general actually).

I wonder if an Ayreon album would work if he gets mainly female singers for once. That could be interesting.

Well both Anneke and Floor have been guests before but not Tarja so that would be a reason.

Ross J. would be sweet.

My first thought was Erik Norlander.  But, then I read Arjen's comment of it being a "legendary" keyboardist - so Emerson or Wakeman would fit the bill better.

Keith Emerson was my immediate first thought.

Also, on the subject of singers, what about Rob Sowden, former Arena singer?

David Paich would be a cool and interesting choice too. Not only on keys but also for some vocals.

Greetings...

Keyboard player nr. 2:

Could be Rudess as some suggests but I have no idea actually.

Sounds absolutely nothing like Rudess. Michael Pinella from SX is definitely a better suggestion.

I must be good, because I could tell both Emerson and Wakeman just from their synthesizer sounds.  :rollin

I'm modestly interested in this now, even though I've kind of soured on Arjen's music in general the past few years. Hey you get two of my three favorite old school prog keyboardists on one CD (the last being Tony Banks), you're going to get my attention!

Also, inb4 someone uploads that clip of Rudess as a DT12 leak.

I guess having these three legends will be a HUGE draw for the album! Arjen knows how to rope prog-heads in with his guests!

Speaking of which, Nicky S is sure to be on this album!

If he's not repeating, and can't have James again, might as well do the next best thing!

So far, I'm not so pumped about the vocalists and talent announce so far, but IIRC Arjen tends to start with the smaller fish and work his way up to the big guns, so there's still plenty of time.
