Finished packing my bags, ready for my flight tomorrow. Spending two days in Amsterdam from 8th to 10th, then travelling to Tilburg and staying there from 10th to 15th.

I'm fairly sure I'll run into Nick (and Guus) in attempt to get the best places to see the Friday show and possibly at the dress rehearsal. I'm also visiting a tour of La Trappe (an excellent trappist ale brewery about 3km from Tilburg), if anyone's interested, hit me up.

Looking forward to the DTF meetup on Saturday if that's still going to happen. Who's going to be there?

We're supposed to have the whole Facebook group but I'm not sure if that's the case. I know Nick is going to be there, as well as some of the resident Dutch folks.

Looking forward to meet you in any case though!

I am there for the Saturday show but will be going with my dad. During the day I am shopping in Tilburg but if you guys are meeting during the day/before the show I can always swing by for a bit.

Got my pair of beers:

That is super cool! Did you order them or something?

I’ll be free all day Saturday before the show. I don’t know about any Facebook thing, but I’d love to meet up with whomever. Especially since I’ll just be on my own anyway.

Also, for any Dutch folk, how does parking work? I’ll have a rental car but don’t read or speak Dutch. How impossible will parking be for me?

Nope, they're selling them in T-drinks (craft beer and other drinks shop in Tilburg). You have to buy Ayreon tourist booklet first though. The booklets are also supposed to be sold in the store but there was a delay in production and as of today's afternoon they were only sold in 013's box office. The lady at the box office told me I was the first to buy them.

It's important to know that one booklet allows you to buy only one can of beer (that's what they said on the site and the lady confirmed it) so I bought two booklets. However the guy in the store either didn't know that or was thrilled that I was the first buyer (I also bought six different little craft beers so there's that), so while stamping my booklets he said "you can buy however many you want". I've bought two of each (a pair for me and a pair for my best friend in Moscow) and I feel a bit guilty about that.

I honestly don't expect the stock to last until Saturday, but apparently they'll also be at some beer festival come Friday. You'll still need a booklet though.

My AirBNB is 10 minutes from the venue and I have the whole Saturday free, too, so let me know.

Depends where you park; in a parking lot you usually grab a ticket or they scan your license plate. Upon leaving you pay whatever you need in a machine and you exit. If you park on the street, there's usually parking meters where you either throw in cash or pay by debit card. You could also download an app to pay with. The 'standard' for that is called "Yellowbrick", but I have no idea whether it's in English as well.

Ah, thanks, didn't know they were already selling. Don't think stock will last either. Oh well. I at least pre-ordered a booklet just to have one.

But super cool to see these kind of collaborations with local businesses (same goes for things like the cinema screening of the Universe show). They really put in some effort.

The booklet also gives some good deals in a few places (probably not useful if you're there for only a day though). Had a free beer at Eetbar De Wagon this evening.

No spoilers from me, but: the show is awesome, the narration is an acquired taste (I liked it) and I'm pretty satisfied with the selection of "other tales" songs.

Can't fricking wait until sunday rolls along....

So.... we are closing in on the Electric Castle and Other Stories, any guesses for the other stories?

Here are mine:

The Gentle Storm - Shores of India
Lost in the New Real - Pink Beatles in a Purple Zeppelin
Stream of Passion - Passion
Guilt Machine - Twisted Coil
Ambeon - Cold Metal
Star One - Songs of the Ocean

Did I get any of those right?

I'm pretty sure the videos and pictures are all over the internet by now, but anyway, here are mine. I tried not to do too many photos and some ended up to be shitty so some moments are missing.

Isis and Osiris

Time Beyond Time #1 - Time Beyond Time #2

The Decision Tree (We're Alive) (possibly my favourite photo from the bunch)

Tunnel of Light #1 - Tunnal of Light #2

The Garden of Emotions #1 - The Garden of Emotions #2

Valley of the Queens (this was changed for the Saturday show at least, only Anneke was on stage instead)

The Castle Hall

Tower of Hope (somehow all the photos for this one ended up being shitty)

Cosmic Fusion #1 - Cosmic Fusion #2

The Mirror Maze

(did not take any pics for Evil Devolution or The Two Gates)

"Forever" of the Stars

Another Time, Another Space #1 - Another Time, Another Space #2 - Another Time, Another Space #3

Shores of India

Ashes

Out in the Real World

Twisted Coil

Kayleigh

Pink Beatles in a Purple Zeppelin
