What three albums have you been spinning?
« on: November 01, 2009, 10:54:03 PM »
Taken from the MP thread of the same name, what three albums have been getting the most consistent listens from you lately?

Devin Townsend - Ki
Between the Buried and Me - The Great Misdirect
Kamelot - The Black Halo

EDIT: And for anyone who's bound to say it, this isn't just another version of "What are you listening to?"

Steelheart - Wait
Kiss - Sonic Boom
Coverdale/Page

Those are the three albums that consistently get listened to lately. I'm always in the mood to listen to them, even when I'm not in the mood for anything else. These are sort of my fallback album in that sense.

Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

1. The Incident
2. The Incident
3. The Incident

:neverusethis: seriously:
1. Porcupine Tree - The Incident (surprise!)
2. The Dresden Dolls - Yes, Virginia...
3. Porcupine Tree - Fear of a Blank Planet (vinyl)

Inverted chronological order, I usually focus on one album for a week or more (in case of The Incident, MUCH more). So actually listening to FOABP vinyl was over a month ago.

I recommend The Shins song "Sleeping Lessons"  , has the best lyrics ever, IMO.

1. Between the Buried and Me - The Silent Circus
2. Between the Buried and Me - The Great Misdirect
3. Joe Satriani - The Electric Joe Satriani: An Anthology

Getting into TSC and delving deeper into TGM. And Joe is always there, but lately I've been getting back into his older stuff; the best of the best. Now time to listen to BTBAM's S/T all the way through. It'll be tough, that growl is uber core. Just as well, the more I get into the growling the more I understand it is simply another way to express one's emotion, and that emotion is METUL!

RIP DTP.
