New demo-song from me on youtube - check out!
« on: October 18, 2009, 04:24:32 PM »
So, i've been working on a song that probably will end up pretty long (it's about 10 minutes now, and not nearly done).
I've put up a demo on youtube, showing the first three parts (and an excerpt of the fourth part).
As i've written on youtube, there are stuff here that needs to be re-recorded, so please don't mind some flat vocal-parts and wierd guitar-leads  :P
Please check it out, and leave a comment  :)

Edit: Oh, and i found out i uploaded the WMV-file instead of the avi-file, so the quality is pretty horrendous.. Anyway, that just adds to the "demo"-effect for now  :P

I really liked part 1.  The rest of it was pretty cool as well.  Keep it up!

I only listened to a bit of the beginning, but it was pretty cool! Is programming drums a hard thing to do?

Thanks!
No, not really.. It's offcourse a bit tedious if you want to make it sound really realistic.. Takes a lot of time. But EZ drummer is really easy, and has thousands of pre-made grooves that are really good.

Awesome song mate!

BTW is EZ Drummer free or is it paid?

I bought EZ drummer and the Drumkit from hell expansion-pack, so i've got three kits to choose from. Standard Pop/Rock-kit, a cocktail kit and Drumkit from hell (basically a large metal-kit). I think the total cost of it is about 300$ or something like that.
It's basically a full sampled drumkit, with pre-made grooves. You use it with a sequencer and just drag and drop grooves into your song. Midi-tracks are then made, playing of the EZ-tracks, and you can edit the grooves endlessly. Highly recommended :)

Hey man, I already posted on youtube, but I gotta say, this is some great stuff!  I look forward to hearing your first album in its entirety

Listening now.  Good stuff  :tup

+1 for EZ Drummer/DFH/SD

I just got Superior Drummer, and it is an awesome program.  You can make everything sound 100% realistic.

Tomas Haake used DFH for the drums on Catch 33, and Devin Townsend used EZ Drummer for all the drums on Ziltoid.
