I'll take your word for it. But I might as well chow down at Mickey D's if I'm gonna have straight fat for breakfast.

Wrong. McD's is awful. Bacon is bacon.
There's a significant difference, and if you can't see it then you aren't worthy of bacon.

Setra, I think that is the best statement I have read on this forum.  Very well said.

I am cooking bacon as we speak.  On Saturday, for my birthday, I went crabbing in Sausality right across the bay from San Francisco (pretty much right underneath the Golden Gate bridge).  We got a pretty good catch of red and brown rock crab (we hauled in some good sized dungeoness as well, but you CANNOT keep them if you do not have a commercial license, which we do not.

Anyhow, I'm making some fresh crab and bacon stuffed mushrooms for dinner.

Chino, you must remedy that NOW!
I'm actually suprized the forum didn't asplode when bosky put crab, bacon, and mushrooms in the same sentence.  I do hope, good sir, that an aged italian cheese is somewhere in that mix too.

I have a hard time with seafood. I ate scallops once while drunk at a party, but only because they were wrapped in BACON. I never had sushi, lobster, crab, fish, etc...

Some parm.  Unfortunately, not the good stuff (discovered too late that we were out).  But what we had will do.  Pretty simple recipe, actually.  Some good quality bread crumbs (not panko, but still), olive oil, garlic, salt, parsley, pamesan, crab, chopped bacon, and a slight dusting of smoked paprika on top.

For lunch today, I ate at this place and had what is pictured on the front page:  https://www.jamiesbroadwaygrille.com/

It was pretty much heaven.  And, yes, I know it has nothing to do with bacon, but it was so good I don't care.

That's how I discovered it as well.  It's only about 5 minutes from my office, but you'd never know it was there unless...well, unless you knew it was there.  I've had the garlic steak sandwich and the seafood grill that they showed on the show, and both dishes really are all that and then some.
