Damn, this album is great. I think it flows really well and there is not a bad song on there. I love the use of 8 string guitars. It def. has that Meshuggah vibe but with the melodic vocals that Chino always brings in. This is def. their best since White Pony.

My fav tracks: Diamond Eyes, Beauty School, Rocket Skates, Risk, 976–EVIL

I'm impressed to see the tolerance/appreciation of perceived top40 on the music side these days. A Deftones thread right next to a Korn thread? If we could time our posts so that a Limp Bizkit thread lined up snugly against these two I think we could trigger another forum crash

The consistency is one of it's best qualities. The previous two albums had some great highlights but were brought down by a few average songs.

We were bangin' some Limp Bizkit at a party yesterday. Say what you will, but it's great party music. Chocolate Starfish has an amazing production to show off your sub!

Somee of LBs old stuff is pretty cool tho but have fun at that Deftones show. 4 years ago, I saw them with Korn for only 10 bucks and it was a def a good time

Listening to DE more and more, realizing its actually a very good album. I think it really flows pretty nicely throughout and the songs are all pretty strong for the most part.

Just want to bump this thread and say that more people need to recognize this band. They absolutely transcend the nu-metal genre. White Pony, Diamond Eyes, and Around the Fur are all incredible.

1. I never liked the single from White Pony when it first came out, still don't.
2. Hearing my older brother listen to Adrenaline was enough for me to know I will never like this band. What turned me off? The screams.
3. Deftones are not awesome.

This! I'm really excited, Diamond Eyes was awesome (though not my favorite). The article states he's still comatose for the most part; making progress, but definitely not out of the woods yet. I remember that quote by Chino in the article from a while back (or I've got a really weird case of deja vu), I don't think that's new, him being able to lift a leg and whatnot but not speak or anything, so maybe he's improved further upon that. But we probably won't hear Eros for a while to come, if ever. Although I really do hope that Chi recovers and we can hear him in all his glory on Eros... $:-\$

Anyway, here's to the new album. Excite!

I have been listening to Diamond Eyes non-stop the past few days.

The new songs are sweet, but I can't make a real judgement call until I hear cleaner versions.
