Would you guys be interested in following an Iron Maiden top 50? I've already done 10 or so of the writeups, just wanted to see how many people would follow :)

Already responded to your top 50, up the irons!

I'd love to sit back and reflect on my IM top 50, but that takes a lot of time. I'll name my top five:

5 For The Greater Good of God
4 Fear of the Dark
3 The Legacy
2 Rime of the Ancient Mariner
1 Hallowed be thy Name

That's really cool that the suits with ties are even beginning to accept that Maiden is outstanding music.

I've never wanted to perform manual labor as much as I do right now.
Cole: "Ow I just got hit in the balls"
Me: "How?"
Cole: "Well you know when you try to scratch your balls, and you scratch too hard?
I'll admit sometimes I want to listen to Dragonforce.

What would be hilarious is if he never once crossed paths with Iron Maiden during his time carrying their gear.

Id say its possible, but worst case scenario is you get to be super close during the concert which makes carrying the equipment worth it.  I am jealous.

Done until packing down time for now :) Been amazing so far, basically put together the whole of Maiden's stage set together with a bit of help on big Eddie. Saw Rod but none of the band so far, most likely to seem them at the end when taking the stage apart. The crew are quite possibly the nicest people I've ever worked with :)

Also Eddie is fucking massive up close ;)

Could we have a survivor or something on best Maiden guitar solos ever? I was thinking how amazing the whole Powerslave instrumental section was recently.

Vocalist Bruce Dickinson of British heavy metal legends IRON MAIDEN has told Daily Star that the band will make "at least one more album" to follow last year's acclaimed "The Final Frontier".

Dickinson revealed that the bandmembers often struggle during the songwriting process, explaining:"We try to keep things on an even keel. Being English, we still have some reserve when we're communicating ideas to each other.

"[In the old days] we'd have a stand-up knock-down fight about anything. But we know each other better now and people do mellow."

He added, "[When it's time to write an album] we go off on our own, scribble ideas into our notebooks and come back to throw everything into the melting pot.

"We know the boundaries of what we can do musically.

"We're not the kind of band who could say, 'Hey, let's do an album with Kanye West,' because that wouldn’t interest MAIDEN fans at all.

"Things have been going a bit more prog-rock on our recent albums and the fans seem to love that."

Not ALL of us fans  :\, I would be quite happy if I never heard endless acoustic noodling at the beginning and end of a Maiden song EVER again.

I would enjoy a more straight ahead rock album next time around.  I really liked TFF, but I want more faster, cathier, shorter and classic Maiden.
