That song was the soundtrack to my early summer. I was so pumped for the show and when I think of early summer that song comes to mind. Good times.

Listening to the setlist now, and I freaking love El Dorado's lyrics.

Indeed.

One of my favorites on TFF, tbh.

Anyone here own the original Powerslave?

Yeah, and in pretty good condition too. And by pretty good, I mean almost new looking and sounding. Love all the things in the artwork you can't see on the CD version :D

I made the mistake of hearing original masters after getting all the 1998 remasters. Now I'm buying them all again... :lol

How is that a problem?

No, jk.  I didn't have that problem when I had the original.

Despite not being a fan of this band, outside of a handful of tunes, this is still pretty cool:

Fourth favourite band, love what they've done so far. Not a fan of Steve Harris' bass tone, though.

I know this post is almost two years old by now, but I have to ask. How can Maiden be one of your favorite bands if you don't like Steve's bass tone? It's such a huge part of their sound.

Maybe he means his new tone. The twangy thing he's doing these days. His 80s tone was godly.

Exactly. I especially love the bass sound on Piece Of Mind and Somewhere In Time. Not a fan of his clickety-clickety-clickety-click he's been using since Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son at all.
... And you ask me: "Where's my hairspray?"

Mentlegen.

I love both.  The twangier post-SSOASS is pure Harris tone to me.

At Soundwave Festival in my home town, Perth, Australia. They played the expected setlist and it was just amazing! My highlights were probably Fear of the Dark, The Talisman (fucking insane live!!!), Blood Brothers, and of course Hallowed and TNOTB. Bruce's voice sounded amazing in the El Dorado chorus as well. And The Final Frontier was great too! Bruce has such an incredible stage presence, and his voice is amazing live.

Haha yeah I heard about that a little while ago :D

And Seventh Son is a great album, although it isn't one of my faves it really does flow nicely, particularly the second half. The first half is really great too but doesn't seem to flow as well. My fave track: Infinite Dreams :)

Seventh Son is probably my favourite Maiden album, so many great tracks on it. Although I've never quite liked The Prophecy for some reason.
Zydar is my new hero.  I just laughed so hard I nearly shat.

A second tier track for sure but I love The Prophecy.
I rank it #5 on the album ahead of The Clairvoyant, Only The Good Die Young, and Can I Play With Madness.

That's a great album, my second favorite right behind Somewhere in time. Every track is just awesome, and The Prophecy might even be one of my favorites. That last minute with acoustic guitars is so beautiful...

The Prophecy is a gem.  It was Maiden stepping out and doing something a little different.  The ending is amazing and the middle instrumental section is awesome aswell.

I always loved Davey's songwriting; Prophecy, Total Eclipse, Judas Be My Guide, Brave New World, Still Life, Justice of the Peace, Twilight Zone, Deja Vu, Thin Line Between Love and Hate, Rainmaker, Fates Warning etc. all great stuff.
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.
