I'm actually surprised on how short this tour has been. I might just try to make it the last London gig.

It's 89 gigs already, and given that there's probably another 10 coming it will be the biggest tour since the X Factour (unless you count Give Me Ed/Dance of Death as one tour).

A page or two ago, there was some moaning about how bad No Prayer and Fear Of The Dark are. They surely are not their best albums. I think one of the main reasons was because of how bad Bruce sounds. I don't know what was wrong with him. I know when Fear Of The Dark came out, it felt like a return to form Maiden album.
I respect what Maiden tried to do with No Prayer, similar to what Queensryche did with HITNF, but at the end of the day, it only works if the songs are strong.
Anyway, between the two albums, I think you can make one pretty damn good album,
call it No Prayer For The Dark or Fear Of the Dying..whatever!

Side 1
Be Quick Or Be Dead
No Prayer For The Dying
Fear Is The Key
Fates Warning
Childhood's End
Afraid To Shoot Strangers

Side 2
The Fugitive
Run Silent Run Deep
The Assassin or Public Enema #1 (I can't decide)
Wasting Love
Judas Be My Guide
Fear Of The Dark
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

A bit off topic, but I did this for Metallica's Load and Reload. Called it Unload, and it's SOLID.

I just might make a playlist of the songs you mentioned.

I really enjoy both the albums fully.  I am happy with both and FOTD is a top 5 album for me.

Even the combination of the best songs from those two albums would end up being their weakest effort. No prayer for the dying and Fear of the dark are the only Iron Maiden albums that I don't really care for. All others are at least pretty damn great. Yes, even VXI.

I like Maiden again. I heard Piece Of Mind, The Number Of The Beast, Powerslave, and Somewhere In Time over the past couple of days.

I actually quite enjoy Virtual XI, i know it gets a lot of hate from the fanbase.
It's not a personal favorite or anything, i would probably rank it fairly low, but when i listen to it i get a nostalgic feeling, and the music itself isn't bad.

Virtual XI has amazing songs.  Futureal, Lightning Strikes Twice, Educated Fool, When Two Worlds Collide, Clamsman, Don't Look to the Eyes of a Stranger.  Great stuff.

I like VXI too. It sounds much more complete and cohesive than The X Factor. More of a classic Maiden album.

Love the end of DLTTEOAS!

The Educated Fool is a great song, and I would love to hear them do it live with Bruce. He'd wail on that chorus.

Yeah, an amazing track indeed. I also love Futureal, The Clansman and Como estais amigos. An enjoyable record overall, although I prefer The X Factor.

I'm still kinda pissed that NA is getting screwed out of an album supporting tour.

Yay! - Got a ticket for the London O2 gig in August - this'll be the first time I've seen the band since I saw them with Blaze. I for one am stoked that they're playing the BNW, DOD and AMOLAD tracks. Got a standing ticket (which is good, coz the O2 is massive), cost me GB£50.

Ever? I like the live version with Blaze. Obviously one of the Bruce era tunes he could easily handle. He took advantage of this opportunity by adding more emotion to his performance.

TAC will hate me for this but I really stopped listening to Maiden after Powerslave, I was a huge fan of the first 2 albums and the Maiden Japan EP, the first couple with Bruce I loved and at this point Maiden was probably at their peak in popularity here in the states, but after awhile all the albums all started to sound too samey for me. The galloping basslines, the twin solos, even Bruce's delivery on the songs. I picked up both Blaze albums and one or two of the reunion albums but its still the same old same old with them. Some people love the fact that they stayed true to their sound, while others like myself wish they would have branched off and tried something different. If it wasn't for DT playing with them on the last tour I would have bypassed the tour all together. I saw them 2x on this tour PNC and MSG and actually left before the encores at MSG because I had seen it the night before.
