But my speculation is that Australia will be followed by a Japanese and South American tour.  The UK I'm betting will get an arena tour, plus festivals in Europe.  North America will get a limited tour a la Dance of Death.

I think North America gets more than a limited tour.  This is a completely different tour and they will most likely hit the major stops.

I doubt it.  They're getting old.  They haven't done a full headlining tour in support of a new album in North America since 2000.

They just did a 22 date NA tour, so I am not sure what you mean by doing a full tour, but I was thinking between 10-20 dates for the album supporting tour.  They also did over 20 dates from the SBIT tour.

Yeah, but 12 and 8 for AMOLAD and Dance of Death.  I don't think you'll see NA get more than a couple of cities this time 'round.  Luckily I live in Montréal which is as close as it gets to being guaranteed a show.

Those 22 dates weren't in support of an album though. They played one new song.

Nicko is part of a supergroup which will record a song for charity entitled "Out Of My Mind".

The temporary band consists of:

Nicko McBrain (Iron Maiden)
Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath, Heaven And Hell)
Ian Gillan and Jon Lord (Deep Purple)

:metal

Yeah, but thanks to that, his voice has reached not a higher but a "different" level of awesomeness.

AAAAAAAH
FEAR AND AWE
IN YOUR EYE
SHOWING YOU WHAT YOU CAN SEE

REACHING HAND
YOU ARE BLIND
STARING DOWN ETERNITY

FEAR AND AWE
IN YOUR EYE
SHOWING YOU WHAT YOU CAN SEE NOW
SEARCHING HAND
YOU ARE BLIND
STARING DOWN ETERNING

HOPE DESPAIR
IN YOUR MIND
PRICKING HAND
SHOWING WHAT YOU CAN FIND
STARING INTO ETERNITY
HOPE DESPAIR IN YOUR MIND
STARING INTO ETERNITY

A LIGHT SHINING IN MY HEART
MEMORY OF FORGOTTEN LOVE
RAYS BURN DOWN FROM THE CLOUDS
UP TO THE SKIES UP ABOVE

THIS IS THE BEGINNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HERE IS WHERE IT ALL GETS STARTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
UNDER THE SKIES UP ABOVE
THIS IS THE BEGINNING
MOVE OUT ITS ALL BEEN STARTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FEAR WHAT YOU LEARNED TO LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AAAAH
AAAAH

I've recently had a revelation that Revelations is the greatest Maiden song.... a spot which was previously held by Moonchild.

okay guys, it might be a little early for this, but here's the question: how many songs from TFF make your top 50? this crossed my mind today and i couldn't figure out how many to include - or even which songs! it's a really tough question since the whole album is basically  :metal. i don't have an actual top 50 list, but i would imagine that some of you do, or at least have a better idea of it than i do. so what songs make the cut?

Top 50 is a little much to think about. However, if we're going top 5- I'd say one, potentially: Where the Wild Wind Blows. If we're going top ten, maybe 2. I really like El Dorado quite a bit.

I have an actual top 50, and I'd say: "Isle of Avalon", "Coming Home", "Starblind", "The Talisman", and "The Alchemist" would make it I think.  Hard to say.

That's a very good one. I'm certain that The Man who would be king, The Talisman and The Alchemist would make it, but I'm not sure about some of the rest.

Most of the stuff from TFF would range about 90-70 for me. Most of the songs were just "meh". Nothing terrible, but I have better expectation from Maiden.

I also have a Top 50. I need to update it to include TFF. I'll say this..The Talisman has easily entered the Top 20.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

"Isle of Avalon," "El Dorado," and "Where the Wild Wind Blows" would definitely make it. "Starblind" is pretty good too.

Not sure about the others, but "Satellite 15...The Final Frontier," "The Alchemist," and "The Talisman" wouldn't make it.

Where the Wild Wind Blows and Starblind would be pretty high up on it. Coming Home and Mother of Mercy would be on it for too.

I had like a top 130 or something, their whole discography ranked before TFF came out  :lol
I need to adjust for that though. And maybe add in some b-sides or whatever.
