King, my fave is NOB but I have a 3 way tie for 2nd between AMOLAD-7th Son-POM.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related

Ariich, that is as low as I have ever seen POM ranked. Why so low?
I've just never found it that interesting, can't really put my finger on why though. The good songs from it (Where Eagles Dare, Flight of Icarus and of course The Tropper) are really great, some of Maiden's best, but most of the rest just do very little for me and bring the overall album down.

And that is as high as I have ever seen VXI ranked!
:lol Yeah I seem to like it more than most people.

Regarding both of the above, I should probably point out that everything from #7 to #13 are pretty close to each other.

Ariich is a freak, or somehow has more hours in the day than everyone else.
I be am boner inducing.

Man, I wore the cassette of POM and destroyed the album at home then got the cd only to get the remaster.  Also the Tour kicked ass.  Thank god my parents let me go at such an early age.

If my memory serves me Ace opened up on the 7th son tour.

I have the entire discography on shuffle.

Did you pay for it?
I figured someone would ask that. I torrent then I either buy the album or delete it.

That was the last concert I was deemed too young to see.  Caught AC/DC only a month or two later.  Shame too, as I'm hugely fond of both Saxon and Fastway, as well.

My first concert was when I was thirteen in eighth grade... Maiden on the Somewhere Back In Time Tour :birch:

Freshman year I saw AC/DC and Metallica, and since then I've been going to every concert I can. My stepdad asked me if I wanted to see IM, at that point I was a fan, but not enough to know that they were touring, so I was never 'too young,' because my first one was because of my stepdad.

Saw Maiden on Sunday night at sonisphere festival. Set was epic. Performance was epic. Crowd was epic. Bruce was epic. That is all.

I saw Maiden in Tinley Park. First time seeing them. Holy hell was it an awesome show. Even the songs I wasn't fond of were great live (No More Lies!). DT was great as well, in fact, seeing them made me really want to see them headline (something I've never done).

1. Powerslave
2. Somewhere in Time
3. A Matter of Life and Death
4. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
5. Number of the Beast
6. Brave New World
7. Iron Maiden
8. Piece of Mind
9. Killers
10. Dance of Death
11. Fear of the Dark
12. No Prayer for the Dying

I didn't rank the Blaze albums because I'm not as familiar with them.

So I tried listening to some Blaze songs again after seeing praise for the X Factor.  I'm sorry but that guy is worse than Paul Di'Anno.

Yes, but Paul Dianno was awesome for those 2 albums...Blaze was definitely alright, nothing spectacular though.

Derek Riggs seems to have put much of his Maiden portfolio back online.  Now, as well as the high quality masters, he's included notes about each one that are thus far quite interesting.  He seemed to grow rather tired of Eddie and the management's increasing interference.

Wow, that was really interesting. He's the only guy i've heard not really getting along with Rod Smallwood. Maiden sounds like complete wankers when he's tallking about them  :P
Cool little detail in the Flight 666 artwork, where Bruce is playing with the Accident of Birth-puppet. I never noticed that before. Cool!

That's a good performance considering the shitty sound and pa setup.  Very raw, 3 amps, a drumkit and vocals.  Blaze sounded great.
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.

Iron Maiden's plane crashed at a Finish airport today. During a storm both engines where destroyed, and a landing wheel broke. None of the bandmembers was hurt, and got safely to the festival they are playing (i don't even know if they where inside the plane when it happened). However, because of the bad weather it's not sure if the gig will happen.
Article (in Norwegian) https://www.dagbladet.no/2010/08/08/kultur/musikk/festival/iron_maiden/flyulykke/12878690/

Edit: It seems the plane was only a plane to transport crew/gear, so none of the band members where in it. The article doesn't mention anybody getting hurt.

Found out the plane was actually parked on the ground when it happened. A tornado blew the wheel off, causing the engines to break when the plane tipped over.

The Finnish fans can rest as well. The show will go on as normal, maybe a bit delayed, but they will definitely play tonight :)
