Thanks for the link!

I'm especially curious about Coming Home and Isle Of Avalon.

Holy fuck!  That review had me super-pumped.  Though I didn't really love AMOLAD, Dance of Death is my second favorite of theirs, and I'm glad that they haven't resorted to straightforward songs this late in their career!  This should be fantastic!  ISLE OF AVALON sounds like it will be amazing!

SSoaSS blows the ever-living crap out of Somewhere in Time by miles. It isn't even funny.

Hardly
1. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
2. Powerslave
3. Iron Maiden
4. Piece of Mind
5. The Number of the Beast
6. Killers
7. Somewhere in Time

That's my view of the 80's albums at least.

Switch Somewhere in Time with Seventh Son and Killers with Iron Maiden and you are a good bit closer to a good ranking. :p

Somewhere in Time and Seventh Son are my two favorite Maiden albums and both have one weak track and Can I Play With Madness isn't on SiT so it wins.

Seventh Son is their best album.  Not a weak song on it.  Can I Play with Madness is a great song I think.  The atmosphere of the title track starting at 4:20 through the end is simply stunning.  And how did Dance of Death not make it into the list, what with it having Paschendale (!!!!!!their best!!!!!!) and the title track and Journeyman?

Killers does not have the epicness of Phantom of the Opera, the awesome instrumental Transylvania, the  :metal of its opening number Prowler (DAT RIFF), or the quality ending track Iron Maiden. Killers is a huge disappointment after the S/t, but a good album still.

Somewhere in Time is decent, but still their worst 80's album. I hate Wasted Years the more I listen to it (ib4shitstorm). Alexander the Great, Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner and Caught Somewhere in Time are the highlights and really good tracks, but does not compare to the perfection of SSoaSS.

Seriously, Moonchild and Infinite Dreams are two of Iron Maiden's best songs ever and to open up an album like that? I think only Powerslave has a similar 1-2 opening punch to an album (Aces High/2 Minutes to Midnight). The title track is nothing short of freaking epic. The Clairvoyant has some of Steve Harris' sexiest basswork ever since Wrathchild, and The Evil That Men Do might be a pit poppish but still an awesome song that I love to death. And Only the Good Die Young is a great song imo, despite what the haters say. The Moonchild reprise at the end makes the album epic and worth of being Maiden's best album.

Paschendale is good but nothing special. >:D

I was doing their 80's albums only. Dance of Death is a great album with 2 weak tracks. But Journeyman is the best song from that album .

There is no way Krotchraut can be any good if one of its founding members does not realize Paschendale for the godly song it is.

This so much. Top 10 IM song overall MINIMUM. One of Iron Maiden's most epic riffs ever.

Somewhere in Time has The Loneliness of the Long Distance of Runner, thus making it an instantly better album than Seventh Son.

Ok, if your really going to judge an album by one song, than Dance of Death wins for Paschendale....  So lets not judge by one song...

Fixed, but they only played two songs from that album.  One of them was mediocre (Heaven Can Wait) while the other was indeed awesome.  It would be really cool to see them open with "Somewhere in Time."
