The X Factor
Brave New World
Killers
Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
Piece of Mind
Virtual XI
Dance of Death
Iron Maiden
Powerslave
Number of the Beast
Somewhere in Time
Fear of the Dark
No Prayer for the Dying

Excellent, another person apart from me that ranks The X Factor at no1.  :metal

What an... unusual ranking.

I sense many flames coming your way :P

Why?  just because a Blaze album is on top?  This must be forbidden I guess.  ::)

The X Factor doesn't get the love it deserves. One of Maiden's darkest albums, and Blaze's voice fits very well. Just leave out The Unbeliever (one of their worst and most unfitting closers they've done) and you have an excellent album.
... And you ask me: "Where's my hairspray?"

Extremely underrated.  IMO, the Unbeliever is a cracker of a song.  What don't you like?

Is anyone else getting anxious that the countdown only has 12 hours to go and counting?  Very exciting.

I don't know, it just feels tacked on and hastily written. It just doesn't live up to TEOD or SOTC imo. Closing the album with 2 AM would have been kinda unusual, but very effective.

I've always liked The Unbeliever, because it feels really spontaneous and unpredictable. I especially adore the instrumental section, and Blaze rocks quite a bit.

The have to bring back a song from The X Factor on this tour. What an awesome album!   :metal

I consider The Unbeliever to be the weakest track on X Factor, definitely.  Though I do like Blaze's performance and vocal melody in the "all my life..." section.

I will say there are a lot of parts that just feel put together for the sake of it, but on the other hand I kind of like that disjointedness of it.

Interesting view on closing with 2am.  Coming to think about it in context of the album, this would have been a fantastic thing to do, great song.  Would have been quite an unsettling way to finish the album, good stuff.

That might work better. Someone might wanna make that now seeing as how the tour starts in three days.
Holy shit, I thought it was next week.  I would have been totally confused come Wednesday evening when my friend called asking where I was at.

Hell yeah, only 3 days.

The last couple of minutes really close out the album well, though.  Not one of the top songs on the album, but I've always liked it plenty.  2AM as the closer would have been interesting, but the transition from 2AM to Unbeliever works very well.  I don't really see any problem as is.

Just checked to see if there were still tickets available for the Dallas show on behalf of an amigo and there are still plenty left.  Dallas sucks.  You can actually buy a four pack of lawn seats for $75 with no service fees;  roughly $21 each.

This is why we can't have nice things.

I like The Unbeliever...or parts of it. It's a true example of why I think this album could've been a masterpiece. This song has some great ideas, but just not put together completely or well. This songs has one of the coolest openings of any Maiden song.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related

The servers are already running extremely slow on thier homepage.  I will be at work, but I will check on my phone.  Im hoping for the new single available for download, as well as track listing and a release date.  Cover art would be cool too.

One of the tracklists floating around (guess it's fake) says the last song is:

POSSIBLE SPOILER

8."The Final Frontier" Smith, Harris. Time: 14:09

If this is true, i will shit my pants... REALLY!

If that's true, I'm more excited about Adrian writing more stuff than the length of the song.  Adrian always writes great stuff for Maiden.

This.  Furthermore: Adrian + Epic = Total win (Paschendale, anyone?).

I highly doubt it is true, though.
