Damned nice of them to put a day between Dallas and Houston.  I'll definitely catch those two.

I really hope that the title "The Final Frontier" isn't hinting that it could be their last album. I really can't see them quitting anytime soon but the title still worries me.

The possibility is high. Steve Harris' original goal was to make 15 studio albums, which they will have done. Also the name of the album, their age, and the huge supporting act of Dream Theater. And to be honest, I hope they hit a HUGE FUCKING home run with this album, and have it be a culmination of everything that they've done; have it be AMAZING; stunning;  :metal ; epic; all at the same time, and end it all with one HUGE world tour. I would rather that than they get too old, lose ideas, and slack live *cough* Metallica *cough* (I LOVE Metallica too, don't get me wrong). That would be an awesome ending to the the best metal band of all time.

EDIT: And then they either do side projects (Bruce Dickinson solo career =  :metal ), or form like a side band like Liquid Tension Experiemtn with a few members just for fun.

It's Bruce Dickinson ripping up a "Play Classics" sign at Nassau Coliseum during the AMOLAD tour.

Euro peeps: read more, on im.com it says that EURO dates are TBA. Which would be why it's called a World Tour.

What sort of set could we expect Maiden to play, as the NA tour will precede their album release? Will they feature a lot of new songs?

It'll be a classics set, and they'll preview the first song from the new album.  This is how they've done it for the last few albums.

If Maiden ends with a last tour, then i gotta say that songs i would love to hear:

*The Legacy (already heard it on the AMOLAD-tour, but its so awesome)
*Dance Of Death
*Brave New World
*The Clansman
*The Sign Of The Cross
*Paschendale

and obviously some older classics like:

*Killers
*Remember Tomorrow
*The Phantom Of The Opera
*The Prisoner

Also, would rock to hear Powerslave again.
Damn, all this talk about Maiden really makes me want to listen to the music, might put on a Maiden-album tonight actually. =D

There was a press release saying that the set would cover the full history of the band (not to mention there was an interview where Bruce said that they're planning to do more songs from BNW/DoD), along with a song or two off the new album.

I'd love to see:
-5 classic set mainstays
The Trooper
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Fear of the Dark
The Number of the Beast
Iron Maiden

-Older songs that still rock
Aces High
Powerslave
Wasted Years
Revelations
Stranger in a Strange Land

-Reunion songs
Ghost of the Navigator
The Thin Line Between Love and Hate (could be exchanged for Brave New World or The Wicker Man)
Montsegur
Paschendale
For the Greater Good of God

-Final Frontier Songs
new song 1
new song 2

The album isn't even out yet. They aren't going to play the whole thing. It's a teaser.

In the past, it's only been one.  I've seen Wicker Man, Wildest Dreams, and [I think] Different Worlds debuted.

A couple new songs would be great as a teaser. I was just hoping for something other than a repeat of the SBiT tour setlist, as awesome as that was. Some BNW-DoD-AMoLaD mixed in would definitely be awesome.

Roughly 35-55 on the bottom end and 85-125 on the high side.  All of the dates are up on TM's site with the prices.

I read the beginning and stopped, sounded too much like garbage and I dont care for garbage.

I will say that TNOTB is actually on my lower tier of Maiden albums.  In terms of significance to the band and heavy metal, I would say its number 1, but IM have made many better albums overall in my opinion.

I'm not gonna praise it more than it deserves, but is a fantastic album. Sure it had a few less-memorable-as-a-whole songs (really, who knows "Total Eclipse" by anything besides the intro?) like "Total Eclipse", and, um, well.... that's fuckin' it! Every other song has extremely memorable parts. There is no way it deserves anything less than a four out of five... and that's pushing it.

I'm with Cramx on this one.  I consider it the weakest of the first 5 Maiden albums.

However, that has no bearing on the silliness of that (and all other) Rolling Stone reviews.  I think that ass-hat Robert Christgau pretty much set the standard for RS, and he really hated metal.
