There was also an interview with Nicko sometime ago where he said Maiden were definitely going to perform in 2015. Knowing their recording habits (they work very quickly once they get started), I imagine we'll get the album in time for a summer tour, rather than in the fall like last time.

Apparently more solid news will be given in the next fan club magazine. Don't expect anything in the way of song/album titles and such, but probably something like "The album is being recorded now and will be released around X time of year with a tour following"..

I think my brother was in it for a little while around the time the X Factor came out but don't think he was in it too long.  He got some cool little knick knacks.

My friends were actually talking about Maiden currently working on a new album and I knew it was very possible but decided not to really believe it until I see it. And now that I saw it...

Used to be, but since they have had a few years of not doing anything I have not renewed, I probably will join again if they announce some NA tour dates for next year.

Glad to see they're recording new stuff. I'm quite an outcast when it comes to Maiden. My favorite albums are Brave New World, Dance of Death, AMOLAD, and The Final Frontier. I love classic Maiden, but new Maiden just hits something for me.

I dont think you are an outcast.  Those albums are great! AMOLAD is my personal favorite.

I am in that boat as well.  I actually prefer the reunion albums and consider them to be Maiden's strongest work.

I do not remember saying that haha.  But yes, its from a DT dvd.  I think its either LiT or Budokan, I don't recall.  Its been aaaages since I've watched any of them.

Wow, really, TAC?  Although I do love the post-Blaze era (and the Blaze era for that matter), I'd take anything from IM through to SSOASS over BNW onwards.

The last two albums are up there with their best. AMOLAD is my 2nd favorite Maiden behind Piece of Mind.

Though for consistency, I think I'd slightly prefer the 80s. Love all eras though, the only album I don't like is Fear of the Dark. Everything else is, at worst, good.

Wow!  That's cool.  TFF I find incredibly boring.  And the elements in it that are supposed to be 'fresh' (I'm thinking of the album intro specifically) are so poorly executed they're laughable.
