I wanted to listen to Alexander The Great just now.  Went into my Media Player and accidentally mis-clicked on Deja Vu, and said, "Oh, wow...yeah, that's a good song, too.  Maybe I'll listen to that one and then Alexander the Great.  ...but then, Stranger In a Strange Land is just before that, and that would be cool to listen to as well.  ...Oh, and The Loneliness Of The Long Distance Runner is just before that one..."  I decided to just listen to the whole album.  :lol

Somewhere In Time is an incredible album. It's between that album and SSoaSS as my favorite IM album from the 80's, and both are part of my Top Four IM Albums with AMOLAD and The X Factor. :metal

Replace X Factor with Piece of Mind and you've got mine!  :metal

Though X Factor really grew on me this year. I always liked it but it's really starting to become a favorite.

IMO the worst thing on SIT is better than anything from the Blaze era. Controversial I know for some IM fans here, but that version of the band to me always sounds like it should be entitled "Harris/Bayley Project" or something. Just can't get into it, though I appreciate some songs like SOTC an Clansman.

one that walks on the set and a couple others behind the band.. not to spoil anything. ;D

Even though it's one of my favorite songs, Moonchild isn't the best of openers.

Just put "spoiler alert" and tell us.  Most of us aren't going to see them this time around, but would still like to know.

Ah i thought you meant two walking Eddies!  :lol The big Eddie and walking Eddie are pretty much standard.

The set looks amazing though!  :metal

EDIT: I missed the two big Eddies, that's really cool!

So, in watching The Early Days DVD, I have found an easy way to articulate why I slightly prefer Clive to Nicko. During the Beast Over Hammersmith show, you can really hear Clive propelling the music forward with intensity. Then the next show with Nicko doesn't have that same feel - Nicko has a more lay-it-back, Bonham-esque thing going which I don't like quite as much. Nicko's still great though.

Yeah I would agree with that.

There is just something innocent about Clive's drumming.

I think Nicko´s style of drumming is more ´bassdrum´ based, so to speak as Clive was more of a snare-based type drummer. He used his snare to propell the music forward, as for Nicko it´s more his footwork combined with symbal playing. More groove-based. Does that make any sense?  ???
