I'd say this; Sign of the Cross and The Clansman are not only the best songs from the Blaze-era, but also top10 Maiden songs.

Sign of the Cross, yes. The Clansman, no. It's still very good, but there are more than ten songs better than it.

I don't know, Scorp. The Clansman is excellent. Not in my Top 10, but definitely a valid choice on anyone's list.
With the exception of Sign Of The Cross and Fear Of The Dark, I'd rank it 3rd best (maybe 4th) in the album run from No Prayer up to and including BNW.

I agree with everything that you said - The Clansman is excellent (and BNW, while good as an album, has no real stand-out tracks), but it's not in my Top 10. Considering the fact that it's just outside of it, and how much I love Maiden, that's still pretty damn good.

Thanks. If there was one Blaze era track that needs the Bruce treatment live, it would be The Educated Fool.
And I completely understand the repetitive issue with DLTTEOAS, but that ending is just insane! :metal

but nothing worse than Como Estais Amigos in my book. Can't stand that song.

No. Top 5 Blaze era song. It's so beautiful and touching.

I find it a bit very boring, tbh. But if you enjoy it, then good on you!

My Top 5 BB-era songs are:

1. Sign of the Cross
2. The Angel and the Gambler
3. The Clansman
4. Man on the Edge
5. Lord of the Flies
Wow.  Really?

If I were forced to pick a worst IM song, it would probably be that.

Okay, the chorus is repeated like 1582945 more times than needed, but the rest of the song is pretty damn awesome.

I don't think the studio version of The Clansman sticks out that much, but the live version on Rock in Rio, that one is really good.

Yeah, it's really atmospheric, especially the part where Bruce lets the crowd sing. I know that many people disagree with me over this issue, but I always enjoy that, because it adds so much to the live feeling - provided, of course, it isn't overdone, like on the last Judas Priest tour, where Halford didn't sing one note of Breaking the Law.

1. Sign of the Cross
2. The Educated Fool
3. The Edge of Darkness
4. Don't Look To the Eyes of A Stranger
5. Judgement Day

Hmm...on second thought, not quite sure I'd place Judgement Day that high, but it is fuckin' killer.

I had to laugh at the unfortunate coincidence that one of his newer songs in the setlist was "I'll Bite Your Face Off". I mean with the Miami Zombie guy and all... very strange but that's Alice!

Dammit Nick, why? I had just unheard that song yesterday or so...

On topic: Alice Cooper kicks major amounts of ass, I think. Nowhere near my Top 5 bands, but a very good band, and I can totally imagine them setting the perfect mood for a Maiden show.

Fortunately I'll Bite Your Face Off, which sucks, has been replaced in the set with Billion Dollar Babies.

Top five Blayze songs is an interesting thing to conjure up.

I think I'd go with:
Sign of the Cross
Blood on the World's hands
Edge of Darkness
Lord of the Flies
The Unbeliever

While it's a distinctly inferior album, VXI has some decent music on it.  Just not as good as it's predecessor.

And I'd certainly like to hear Bruce sing more of it.  I loved his version of LotF, and I think he'd sing SotC quite well.
Argument, the presentation of reasonable views, never makes headway against conviction, and conviction takes no part in argument because it knows.

I don't care that much about The X Factor outtakes. Judgment Day is fine, I Live My Way is great, but Justice of the Peace is meh. I Live My Way should've had made it to TFX, but I don't know, what song I would take off.
