I've always found it interesting with all the hate for Bring Your Daughter. I'm not saying it's a good song, but before I got really into Maiden I was under the impression that it was one of their classics (though from another decade), and that fans generally liked it.
But I mean that kinds says it all about Maiden's early 90's doesn't it?  :lol

Sorry, but it's far from one of their best songs. I'd take ANYTHING off of Killers instead of that one.

Oh, I didn't meant to imply that it was one of Maiden's best songs, I just thought more people liked it. It was one of their big hits in the 90's after all. :P

Well, Killers is awesome and No Prayer is kinda meh as a whole (with Holy Smoke being the only exception), so I can agree with that. I never got Bring Your Daughter, either.

I'm not sure which Maiden song I would rank the lowest. Probably something from either No Prayer, Fear of the Dark or Virtual XI.

I don't really know Fear of the Dark, tbh. Of course I know the songs that are popular (title track, AtSS) and a few others (Be Quick or Be Dead, Judas Be My Guide), but it's been so long that I listened to that album. I might find something worse than CEA if I do, though I doubt it.

Oh, I didn't meant to imply that it was one of Maiden's best songs, I just thought more people liked it. It was one of their big hits in the 90's after all. :P

A good friend of mine plays in a Maiden tribute band in England called Hi On Maiden and he told me that "Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter" is one of the most frequently requested songs.

Except for the title, it's actually an awesome song. Like Public Enema Number One. Horrid title, but a very underrated song.

Have fun tonight and rock out!  :metal

The good news, Maiden were awesome tonight.
The bad news: Might be the loudest and worst sounding concert I've ever been to.
The mix got better after CIPWM, but the sound was so uneven.

Seeing Phantom made me forget the disappointment of no Infinite Dreams. That and SSOASS were the songs of the night. Though not sold out, the place was packed! Great crowd.

Said hi to kirknosehair.

Alice Cooper sounded great. He was awesome, as usual. He's a TAC Top 5er anyway, so it was a great night.

:metal Sound was actually great at the Charlotte show. Was a bit surprised at how high the bass was in the mix but I know that's part of it with Steve MF'n Harris and it settled in after the first tune or so. They really won me over with their performance and show.

Hey, it was cool to meet you TAC.

I absolutely agree with you regarding the sound.   Alice Cooper sounded pretty good, but Maiden sounded like a big fat bag of ass.  Everything was muddy and crunched into the middle, the bass guitar was way, way too loud first few tracks, dude running the board was terrible, didn't know who was taking a guitar solo or when, so every time a guitar solo started, we missed the first few notes until that specific player got turned up.

The problem with that venue is if you are not in the center section, down in the covered area, it always sounds like shit.  At least the sound did improve as the night wore on.

I've got some good bootleg videos I'll be posting here as they upload to YouTube.

Let's start with this quick tidbit of 14,000 fans singing "Fear Of The Dark:

Bring Your Daughter is the WORST Maiden song.  I'd take anything over it.

It's mediocre. OK live song. Can I Play With Madness gets my vote.

but nothing worse than Como Estais Amigos in my book. Can't stand that song.

No. Top 5 Blaze era song. It's so beautiful and touching.

I find it a bit very boring, tbh. But if you enjoy it, then good on you!

My Top 5 BB-era songs are:

1. Sign of the Cross
2. The Angel and the Gambler
3. The Clansman
4. Man on the Edge
5. Lord of the Flies

1. Sign of the Cross
2. The Angel and the Gambler
3. The Clansman
4. Man on the Edge
5. Lord of the Flies

The Angel and the Gambler! So you're insane too!  ;D. Haters gonna hate, it's just awesome. What's wrong eith good rock music, even when the chorus is repeated 22 times?

My list:
1.Sign of the Cross
2.Como Estais Amigos
3.The Clansman
4.Man on the Edge
5.Futureal

I'd say this; Sign of the Cross and The Clansman are not only the best songs from the Blaze-era, but also top10 Maiden songs.

Sign of the Cross yes, but The Clansman is slightly too weak.
