   I've seen them a few times with small crowds, and they always put on a great performance.  It makes the small shows seem even better, in a way.

Riverside begin recording new album!

So here we are. After almost four years since the release of "Wasteland", we're finally back in a studio to record our eighth album. This time, the material will be registered in two recording studios, The Boogie Town Studio in Otwock, from which we salute you, and Studio Serakos in Warsaw.

The new material (which is mostly already there), because of the title and the subject matter, will contain all the characteristics of the Riverside style and should make for the most powerful and intense listening since "Anno Domini High Definition".

Please follow our social media accounts for more information about the recording process of our new release. And it's quite possible that we will play something from it during the final European "Riverside 20" tour in September 2022 🙂

The release date of the eighth Riverside album is scheduled for January 2023.

I'm very excited about the new album.  I often don't listen to singles, but I'm happy they're getting released because I know the album is near.

New song 'I'm Done With You' is out and it's quite a shock, sounding very different to their last few releases, almost a 1970's vibe to it.
Even streaming the sound is raw, big and mixed well.

As for your description, I hate to say it, but that doesn't sound so good. Could've sworn that they said it would be more of a return to the heaviness of ADHD (my favorite album of theirs) and your description sounds nothing like that. With a 70s vibe, it makes me think of Pain of Salvation's Road Salt, which made me lose complete interest in them. Hope this isn't the same.

You say it's a shock - do you like it or no? How would you best compare it to the rest of their catalog and any other bands/songs?

Oh that was good  Specially when it kicks in around 1:30  Groovy, heavy, with riverside vibes all over. Good layering with the keyboards too and the instrumental break is tasty

I don't get any 70s vibes from this and it's pretty much Riverside 101, nothing shocking imo.

I feel like Riverside has ALWAYS had a 70s vibe to them (especially Depth of Self Delusion from SONGS) so I guess I feel like “Riverside 101” and “70s vibe” are synonymous.

Oh god, I finally got the title of the new album - ID and Entity, like the ID (from psychoanalytical theory) as an entity, but also IDENTITY, forming your perception of self. And based on the description of the album's themes, I think we can expect some heavy lyrics and ideas presented across the seven new tracks. The album cover also seems to indicate some relation to the theme of identity and place within a world that is ever changing.
