Systematic Chaos in 2025

It's a grower for me.

I remember when it came out I literally didn't like it. Because this album is where DT started to sound more metal and less progressive. But still there is some tasty vocal melodies and guitar solos.

ITPOE is a great epic, I rank it fairly high.
Repentance is a different piece of music DT should try again.
PoW is criminally underrated. It's a fun song and it's amazing live.
I can definitely live without TMOLS. The most boring song they've ever created.
The rest is OK.

I like this album quite a lot. Not a fan of the production (especially on the drums).
Lyrics are a bit cringy throughout, but there's a lot of fun riffs and musical ideas in many moments.

ITPOE (pt1 especially) is a great epic.

I want to echo the the praise for ITPOE - Pt. 1 just rules, Pt. 2 is underrated.

I gave SC another chance this weekend as well. Listening to the newly mastered vinyl for volume 2 of the box set was a treat. It's definitely a better experience than the CD, and certainly streaming.

I liked TMOLS a lot more this time. The whole album, really. I might be turning over a new leaf on this one.
