Another option that was brought up was doing a Genesis album countdown. I intended to do it but got pretty busy with work, if you have no interest in doing it I can knock it sometime this year.

I'd do that if none of these bands get a bunch more votes.

All of these bands are basically "classic rock radio hits" bands for me. As much as I know and like many of them*, I don't think I've ever owned an album by any of them.

*Except Genesis, of which I like basically nothing.

Maybe do an album countdown? Speaking for only myself but there are very few bands whose catalog I'm intimately familiar with to knock out a song ranking. I think it's easier to rank albums than songs personally, especially when trying get enough participation to do a countdown in the first place.

That's the conundrum for me, though;  the album lists are quick and to the point, but the song lists allow for a lot more variety and discussion.   

I think I'm different than most here, though; I WILL go and listen to a catalogue and put together a list.  Metallica, for one.
