Metro’s Entry Level Minimum Wage Roulette

Welcome to Metro v2!

It hasn’t been too long since my previous roulette, but I’m always in the mood for new music.

I’ve noticed that roulettes nowadays seem to keep taking longer and keep getting more complex. That’s all well and good, and I’m not trying to diss anyone else’s game. But for this roulette, I want to strip

it back to basics and do a roulette that’s short and simple.

I have another idea for a roulette that’s a lot more complex, but I’ll save that for Metro v3. Look forward to that hopefully/maybe by the end of the year. I went with this one first because I think a simple roulette is what we need right now.

FORMAT

- 4 rounds. Thats it.
- Each round you will send me one song via DM. I'm an Apple Music guy, but Spotify and YouTube links are fine. You can also just send me a download link if the song can't be found elsewhere.
- I will listen to the song.
- There will be Scramble, like my last roulette. I know the people love Hangmangen, but I have to do a lot of this stuff on Mobile, and Scramble is just much easier for me to manage. It also tends to move faster, which goes in line with this roulette.
- I will give the song a score of 1-10
- Whoever has the most score at the end of the game wins.

Thats it. No theme. No secret menu. No wine pairings. No bonus points. No Google forms. No anonymity.
Just a basic roulette.

I’m gonna limit this to 15 players. Anyone who participated last time is certainly welcome, but I would like to see some new faces and hopefully some people who don’t normally participate in roulettes. That’s part of the reason I’m making this so simple.

Simple enough? I hope so. This shouldn’t take long if everything runs smoothly. If this thread goes past 30 pages, something went wrong.

SONG CRITERIA

The Criteria applies to all 4 rounds.

20 minutes max. No exceptions. You're not getting paid overtime.
Please don't think of the time limit as a challenge. You don't have to send a 20 minute song every round.
If an artist scores an 8 or higher, they are banned for the rest of the game.
No songs that were submitted in my previous roulette. Here's a link to a master list of all of those songs.
Send good music.

That’s it.

TASTE

Refer to my banned list where I’ve highlighted artists I like/dislike.

I’m open to anything except for some things.

The last roulette solidified that black metal just isn’t my thing. None of that, please. Sorry Pupps.
I’m also not into Opeth or bands that sound like Opeth.
I don't mind harsh vocals.
I don’t mind poppy stuff.
I don’t mind extremely heavy stuff.
I don’t mind electronic music.
I don’t mind weird/ambient/experimental shit.
I don’t mind music in other languages.
Hamilton was mid.
Ween is the greatest band of all time
I hate Olives.
Impera is Ghost’s worst album.

You can put me on the call list, and if you need someone to fill a shift, I'll come in.

Get your new hires orientated first.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

I seem to be getting called out in more and more peoples opening posts for their roulettes. I must be doing something right  :lol

At any rate, put me in if there's a spot for me coach! I promise I won't send black metal this time  :)

Ayreon I stand by. I actually don't know why SX is red  :lol I don't have any strong feelings on them honestly from the few songs I've heard. I think I'll remove them from the list.

Yeah, most of the stuff he has in red I can get behind, but the ones that stood out were Ayreon, Opeth, and Symphony X.

Apparently he only hates latter day Muse, which......you know, understandable. :lol

Yeah the last two Muse albums are dogshit. But even when I listen to the older stuff, I'm not as into it as I used to be.

You know, it's kind of funny, but Muse seems to be trying new things and keeping their latest albums varied in style, but the songwriting and lyrics have turned to complete garbage and no amount of varied styles can save that.

We don't seem especially compatible based on my placement in your last one, but I'm certainly up for giving it another go if you need some more temp workers.

If nothing else, I see Aziza, Emma, and Trane made it to your ban list, so I'll count that as a success.

I don’t mind weird/ambient/experimental shit.

Maybe, but you seem to mind mine, so if I'm in I'll probably stay away from there.  :lol

So I worked at McDonald's through high school and college, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Thought I'd share a pic from the summer of 1987. I was 19. The circus came to town (New Bedford, Ma), and McDonald's was one of the sponsors. I depressed as the Hamburgler for the circus, even rode in on a damn elephant  lol

The thing about that day is that we had a crew party (with owners and managers) at a golf course and I was fucking tanked.
So I was more like the Hammeredburgler.
