I don't fully understand the sudden rise in trolls on these forums, whether it's the same person making different accounts or different people. Like, this is Dream Theater Forums. We're not a particularly big community. If people really want to be trolls in an online forum, I feel like their time would be better spent on a larger fandom and community.

Look, I always 'try' to take people at face value...be it in person or online.

If someone takes the time (and 'time' is the key word there) to articulate a thought or opinion, I try my best to take it face value and proceed accordingly.

A few of the more recent forummers were clearly taking the time (presumably, of course AI generation could be at play) to write long, thoughtful posts.

But then, out of nowhere, the tone would change to something a bit more nasty.

Random question for anyone who knows.

At the start of the song, James was rallying the crowd and said, "Are you with us?!"  He then pointed the microphone toward the crowd.  A pretty standard frontman move that most of us have seen dozens or hundreds of times.  But that mic is as likely to feedback in that situation as it is to pick up anything, so I've always wondered whether the sound guy simply pots it down when singers do that.  Anyone know?
