I love the sound of this album. It's great to key in on Janick (he's in the right ear). His playing is so melodic.

I can't say if I'm really a Dire Straits fan or not yet, but I've enjoyed every album I've heard by them so far (have one more to go, Making Movies, which I just ordered off Discogs today). There's a detail to the playing that holds my attention even when the songs don't necessarily seem extraordinary otherwise.

Black Sabbath - Live Evil
Black Sabbath - Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
Black Sabbath - Reunion (in my opinion, it's the best Ozzy-era live album).
Black Sabbath - Past Lives

Heaven and Hell - The Devil You Know
Heaven and Hell - Live from Radio City Music Hall
Heaven and Hell - Neon Knights / Wacken 2009

What are the others?

Past Lives (includes Live at Last and a tracks from the 1970 Paranoid tour) and The End (the final Sabbath show).

I don't think Ozzy sounds very great on The End, which was recorded in 2016 (?).  Past Lives doesn't really have great production, but it is a good representation of the band in the 1970's.

Reunion was recorded in 1998 and the band sounds great, Ozzy's voice is in great shape, and the production is really good.  I still have a lot of memories of getting this album when it came out, having seen them headline Ozzfest in 1997 and 1999.

Reminds me of the funny thing that Metal Sucks used to do with their unreadable band name of the week or month or whatever. I could never even make a guess on any of them.

Not quite an album, but Allegaeon dropped the first track off their new album today... As much as I'm gonna miss Riley, Ezra has a viscous edge to his growls.

When I got into Genesis in the early 2000s, I was surprised at how little this album was discussed. It’s so good, top to bottom.
