*doesn't get targeted, still drops some spots*  :rollin

Ill send by tomorrow morning

And yet Tim ended up targeting you.  Though I thought if someone dropped in their standings, and the person they were originally targeting was 'out-of-reach', they weren't able to overtake anyone.  What do I know though... no one targeted me in the first 5 rounds, since I was dead middle of the pack.  And I wasn't winning any of my overtake duels.
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad
I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".

You all should know how much I worship Savatage, this particular album, and the Olivas' unique brand of violent, emotional, and I dare say truly epic architecture of semplicity.

You do? The guy is a fucking slobbering Meatloaf wannabe. And he sucks too. One of the three worst singers I've ever seen in my life.

So far, my hat goes off to everyone (who has sent) for a batch of extremely thought out / researched / out of the box submissions. That's exactly the kind of engagement I set up roulettes for. Theme-wise, pretty much everything is on point, therefore I suspect the line of scrimmage will be sheer musical appreciation for this bout.

Uh, so what happened here?  By the results there were no 1s or 5s for raw score, but three 1s for the theme.

I definitely don't get the interpretation of the theme.  Only two got 4s, one of which is "With Arms Wide Open", which seems like it should come after "How You Gonna See Me now", or well before "Big Shot".

Depends on the context of if there was a story behind the song to make it tie in I guess, not necessarily just the lyrics.

Honestly, I can't even fucking recall that.  Truth be told I rarely take much notice on what everyone else sends.  But honestly if I remembered that I wouldn't have sent.  That's a worry though, my memory has missed a few things lately.

That's actually next level Chad style.  :lol

Just went back and looked, Chad posted the results for that round on December 10th.  Wasn't a great couple of weeks around that time but I should have taken more notice.  I wouldn't have sent otherwise.  Looks like Ill cross DT of the list though.  ;D

A lot of listening happened.

Of course interpretations are a subjective matter by definition. "With Arms Wide Open" struck me as a life changing event capable of leading from immature debauchery (Big Shot) to redemption (How You Gonna See Me Now), and it stood out as the most original and unexpected.

That was mine, and that's exactly how it went down in my life.  I'm not exactly "sedate" now, but having a daughter at age 32 changed the game irreparably, and given that I met my then-wife when I was older but still single - and we got to go to Block Island and drink our faces off on a whim, or go to New Orleans for a fast weekend, cancelling our flight because of the hurricane and renting a car instead so we could eat more oysters before the evacuation kicked in - well, you can't do that when you have a baby looking to you for survival.   And while that child didn't end our marriage, it changed it, and those seeds of change ARE what ultimately ended the marriage.  "How are you going to see me now that my priority isn't YOU and YOUR personal satisfaction?"

This was the easiest theme round I've ever participated in, ever.
