They have infinite shots at that, they only need to guess in turn. On the other hand, each of the other players have one shot at guessing the sender; they won't get the Point, but will dastardly deprive both the original contenders of their chance at said Point.

So in this scenario, unless a non-contender absolutely 100% knows who sent it, it would be unwise to fire off a random guess ... it only narrows the field for the contender to have fewer options to guess.
