Favorite song is always tough for me to decipher, but I might be able to narrow it down to 3 with a gun to my head...

Marillion - Neverland
Moonsorrow - Jotunheim
Tool - Lateralus
aka Puppies_On_Acid
I peed next to Ian Mosley and Mark Kelly
Derek Sherinian probably stands 10 feet away from the urinal, shoots from downtown, and announces loudly that he's making history.

Octavarium.

2nd place would be Blackwater Park by Opeth.

In doubt, multiple songs are fine.

OK, I'll pick The Decline by NOFX and Call of Ktulu (S&M Version) by Metallica.

TAC I'm genuinely impressed by how many Homestuck gifs you're managing to find. :lol

But seriously, even Sacul's 'send two songs based on a very broad theme' is almost too many rules for me. Indi, if you want to know what the experience of having me in this roulette would be like, just go listen to a few Devil Doll songs. This will also serve to assuage any regret about my absence. :lol
I honestly think Devil Doll might be right up Indy's alley.
Yea, come join. More participants means more overtake points up for grabs (I assume).

Tim, Ruslan and I reaching for overtake points.

would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related

I don't really know what my favorite song is, but here are five very strong candidates.

Autumn - "Altitude"
Deadlock - "Dying Breed"
Mercenary - "Firesoul"
Nightingale - "Nightfall Overture" ('05 version)
Tears For Fears - "Everybody Wants To Rule the World"

I really hate choosing just one of even a few, but...

Anathema - The Storm Before the Calm

I'm so glad I got to witness this one live, it was beyond amazing. Other candidates are the Untouchable songs.

There's no single particular one of their songs that goes quite that high, just dozens that are close.  Same thing with Opeth.

But favourite song? As an album listener that's a tough one, how the hell do you pick out just one song to be a favourite?

Definitely way up on mine as well.  If I had to choose the "Untouchable" duo is probably it, though "The Lost Child" is not far behind.

Ok I can't pick one, but I guess I can pick out three (counting Untouchable as one because duh). In alphabetical artist order:

Anathema - Untouchable Parts 1 & 2
Haken - Falling Back to Earth
Markéta Irglová - Without a Map

Ah, you're the one who brought her to the forum?  Bravo!

Although, Soundscape mentions her in '14, dunno if there's anything even earlier.  Unless you just were the first to start sending her in roulettes.

Yeah I started sending it in roulettes many years ago, and it's done quite well. I recall finding about her from a blog I used to read, that guy had it in his top 10 of that year.
