Yup, last bought a new vehicle in 2019 . The salesman looked at me like I had 22 heads when I asked if it had a cd player.  I would guess anyone buying a new car from this point on will have no chance at cd's.

My previous car also had a cassette deck that I occasionally used.  I am in no way ready to give up the CD player in my current one.  Has to be something on that market that still has them.

Yeah I remember those players, some would be able to sense the gap between tracks and stop FF and play the next track. It was the "smart" version of next track. Though if you had an album with no gaps then it wouldn't work. I think Seasons In the Abyss was like that.

I have a 2014 Lancer VRX, fully equipped for CD's.   

it has around 285 000 km on it so will probably have to look at a new one the next couple of years.

How do you listen to music in the car then Jason?
