thinking i'm half-interested in running a mini-roulette sometime that's restricted only to electronic or adjacent music, people here have sent me good stuff along that lines and it'd be nice to run a rankdown that's not getting bogged down with generic prog metal song #588 every round, idk  :lol

How to not invite jingle.boy without saying "you're not invited, jingle.boy".   :lol :lol

That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad
I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".

Definitely down for this, we seem to have more overlap there than in most other categories, if I can manage to find the right songs...

As someone who did an electronic-only roulette too, making it shorter than usual is probably a good idea; I don't think most people on here have enough stuff to send for 8 straight rounds of that. :lol

Of regulars, I'm thinking there's probably a good half-dozen+ who could keep it up indefinitely, another similar number who could do it but would start feeling stretched after awhile, and then a bunch who are just going to nope out of participating at all.   :corn

I only got nine people in mine, and a few of them were basically just sending every electronic or electronic-leaning artist they liked, as opposed to curating from a large amount. :lol

Although even that can be tricky.  A lot of hosts seem to want sort of "novelty" music, that's either very experimental or is kind of like "the DT of x genre".  The pool expands exponentially when people just enjoy quality music, even if it's a more conventional example of the style.  Difficult balance there.

I have tons of electronic music to pull from. :corn

I peed next to Ian Mosley and Mark Kelly
Derek Sherinian probably stands 10 feet away from the urinal, shoots from downtown, and announces loudly that he's making history.

I should have enough too, though I usually ignore prog metal in Crow's roulettes and still don't do very well, so I expect my performance to be about the same as usual. :lol

Those two things are definitely not mutually exclusive.

Ariich is a freak, or somehow has more hours in the day than everyone else.

Nice! Although I share the credit for that with Lucas I think it was? I still chuckle about your first impression for the one I sent though. :lol

But yeah that's a great album, and the one after it was good too.

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't do well in it. I maybe have three bands off the top of my head to send.

iiii did not like the follow-up very much, it felt really scaled-down from no now and beholden to a lot of my least favorite tropes in popular electronic music from the mid 2010's  :lol idk it wasn't bad but nothing about it grabbed me
