Yeah I made some tweaks to the criteria last night. I’m locking it in now. No more changes.

So those track length criterias are for each song, or collectively for the two songs?  Sorry if covered, I suck at fine details.

There’s separate criteria for the Main Entry and Wine Pairing. The Main Entry has different criteria every round, the Wine Pairing is the same every round.

So what's the rule on SONGS that you might know, but done by other bands that are not banned?  I'm not talking about note-for-note covers, I'm talking something pretty different. Will it be rejected because you recognize the melody or something?

I have a tentative catered banquet prepared.  I'm contemplating a different genre of dish each round, with prog/metal only for one of them at most.  Might try and care less how I do in this one, since I seem to do worse in V1 roulettes.

Just to clarify, you're wanting the wine pairing to be similar in style to the related course, but the other criteria seem to shift per round.  So in particular, for dessert, it's fine if the wine pairing is not a closing track?

I want to avoid as much Prog and Metal as possible as well, but am struggling. I can't even get my round 1 sorted. I have 2 excellent songs that fit the criteria but they are heavy. I need to stare at my under 4 minute list again.

Mise En Place means “Put in place”. In cooking, it means having all of your ingredients prepped and ready to go before you start cooking.

So right now in the roulette, folks should be prepping their song choices.

Can we send descriptions with our Google form song entries? I'd like to have fun with this and provide a description for each meal (RJ will probably have a field day with those) but it'll likely ruin the anonymity as the descriptions will be quite distinctive—I know basically nothing about high dining so I'll be pull them for each course out of my ass inventing them as we go

I’ll be sending the Google Form out at midnight EST tonight. Everyone has until Monday to send their submissions. Then the first round begins.

And I'm pretty sure if only a few people are giving descriptions or additional content to their submission, it won't be very anonymous.

Yeah it’s probably a better idea to wait until the end of the round to share stories once it’s revealed who submitted what, but the option will still be there for anyone who does want to include it with their submission.
