20 minutes minimum is a bit high for the main course, especially considering all other rounds have a 10 minute maximum, meaning any song between 11 and 19 minutes is impossible to send anywhere in the roulette.

Thankfully though I do have a 20 minute song in mind, so I'm good even if you keep the rules the same.

This was pretty much my observation as well, and hence the reason for my question. I’m good with any setup, but there’s  a LOT of great music between 10:00 and 19:59.

I think the one downside to the anonymous submission is the lack of the stories or descriptions to go with the submissions, I always enjoy writing them for others, and reading what's submitted to me, gives me a sneak peak further into my fellow forum members.

On the other hand, I've always thought about doing a totally anonymous roulette with a proxy collecting and organizing the playlist for me, to keep any subtle prejudices out of the mix (like my habit of automatically dropping Tim a point or two just because )

Presumably the wine pairing should be something that goes well with the main entry, so e.g. where we're sending some giant epic in round 4 but the wine pairing is max 5 minutes, it should be similar in some way (style, epic feel, etc)?

Do you like all of your banned list artists or are there some you're not keen on but just feel you know well enough already? Might help get a sense of your tastes, considering you're a roulette newbie!

I had a tentative menu selected, but if Metro is really a glutton for these endless feasts like the round durations seem to suggest, maybe I need to alter my choices.

1. I would say it should be similar in style for each round. So for example in round 3 where I want something stripped-down, the Wine Pairing should also be something like that. I’ll edit the OP to say that.

2. The banned list is mostly artists I already like/am familiar with, but there are some artists in there that I just flat out don’t like, and no one here is going to change my mind. I’ll go in later and highlight those artists.

3. I’m not very picky when it comes to vocals. As I said in the “Taste” section of the OP, I don’t mind harsh vocals.

Cool thanks (and for the other answers too). Yeah I only asked because some people like harsh vocals but are put off by post-hardcore (or emo) style vocals, but sounds like you're comfortable with different types of vocals which is great.

Meant to reply to this earlier. You’re more than welcome to share whatever stories you have at the end of the round if you want, and I’d definitely be interested in hearing them.

You can also include the story with your submissions in the Google Form if you want, provided it still stays anonymous. I don’t think there’s a character limit to the responses.
