Correct on mine.

2/2 with mine.  Shit, Metro's better at this than most of us!

Prediction ... Floor gets a 9/10; Marco 2/10 - blended score 5.5/10

Yup, that's obviously me, and yeah, that's the right translation. I agree the outro on that song is just magical, gives me chills every time.

Curious to see the wine pairings :corn :corn :corn

I do, in small doses. The song got better as it went on, as the band calmed the hell down.  :lol

Wucan-Kill The King

are this and Stargazer Rainbow covers?

Wucan is most definitely not a cover. They have 2 covers in their releases. One is an excellent cover of Am I Evil and the other is a German track.

Marillion - Afraid of Sunlight
I like H's voice the more I hear it. I love the Fish-era, but this era really is it's own thing, isn't it?

My Guess: Wildranger
Correct Sender: Stadler

Also correct that H era Marillion is it's own thing (and on the whole has a lot more to offer than the Fish era IMO, with H being the superior vocalist and a more universal lyricist as well).

He's the better vocalist, but... I have to think about the lyricist.   "Clutching..." is, as a whole, one of the greatest lyrical performances in my not-modest CD collection.  The wordplay, the symbology, the emotional resonance, there is some real art on that record.  The whole middle section of Warm Wet Circles is some of the best imagery I've ever heard EVER in a song.   Sometimes H veers into the sanctimonious for me, and there are too many lyrics that are sort of cynical cliches.

Fish has his moments of greatness for sure. But H has written things that connect with me far more deeply than anything Fish has written apart from maybe Sugar Mice. Stuff like Fantastic Place, Beyond You, House, Go, or more recent stuff like White Paper or Care or The Crow and the Nightengale. He just has a little more human sensitivity to him than Fish (who has a certain amount of vitriol in his lyrics that seems to reflect who he is as a person from what I can tell, not that H is a saint either).

Well, he's made his guesses, and knows which song pairs with which.  So there isn't much mystery in the wine pairing once we start confirming who sent which dish.
