Honestly Tim, none of these songs stuck out to me as being ‘you’ bands. But also, there’s a fair few I don’t recognise.

To be fair I don’t have a clue who SAKI are but they screamed Lonestar at me, due to the all caps

She's a Japanese guitarist, plays for Nemophila, in the past was with Mary's Blood, Down Dope Squad and Destrose. It's an instrumental piece

I'm actually trying to run this whole roulette only sending instrumental stuff.

That Survivor album is fantastic.  I played the hell out of in the fall of 1988.

They're one of those bands I recognize by name, but never really listened to it. In fact, the same could be said for about half of the artists submitted this round.

First Impressions:

1. Nice and fun tune, we will see how it stacks against the rest.

2. Litho - Who doesn't love a good sax solo?

3. I sampled this band before and nothing caught my attention. Maybe this will change my mind.

4. Admittedly, I do not listen to this era of music as much as I used to, but this song hits the spot.

5. HOF - Nothing special in the first half. It got better about halfway thru though.

6. I get where you were going with this. We will see if it pays off.

7. I struggled with the guitar tone, but overall is not that bad.

8. Has a nice intro, and then no much changes. is that a good thing?

9. This is a nice tune, I like the vibe in this one.

10. It's not bad. Not sure it will stand against the other tracks though.

11. Woflking - I somehow have never listened to this band before, even though I recognize the name.

12. Not what I expected, but that is a good thing. Really fun track.

13. Puppies - I see you payed attention to what I sent in another roulette. It might pay off.

14. I got worried in the first 20 seconds. I'm glad the song changed quickly.

15. This is about what I expected from this artist, not what I expected for the round.

16. I recognized the name, but never listened to this band. I hope this is a good introduction to them.

17. Lonestar - There is some good stuff here, incredible playing.

It's only their official stuff they police, and they've dropped a few select songs off them. Fancams are a huge no-no in Japan, so the only ones available are from the recent US tour. I hear ya on the backfire thing though. BAND-MAID let's their fans go wild with it, and I think it's totally helped grow their base.

I'd just go to Nemophila's page and check out their live releases, most of them have solid sound and clean post production work. They're very meticulous with their official releases. (and if you check out their live video from the Whisky A Go Go, you'll see my face multiple times lol)
