Stadler 1. These are some silky vocals, but this music is so grating.

Faizoff 2. This might be the oddest collection of songs in this round.

Nick 3. This is a steady eddie EP. Maybe too steady eddie.

Kingshmegland 4. This has excellent flow.

Lonestar 5. Alright alright. Enough already! lol

Ariich 6. There’s some great melodic lead playing on this.

Wolfking 7. Pretty solid blackish metal. Can I live with these vocals?

Lithojazzosphere 8. I think you could’ve trimmed a little fat here.

Puppies 9. These songs have nothing in common with each other, and I would’ve reordered them for a better flow.

Reaper 10. Wow, this EP is intense and gripping.

Romdrums 11. I like your approach to this.

Jamesman 12. This a really beautiful EP with great flow.

Glasser 13. This EP hits the spot.

Lethean 14. Parts of this were cool, and parts of this were…not.

I'm not surprised at Serenity being the least as it was a very quick substitution, with more time I'd have gone back and listened to a couple of their more recent albums, which I think would have been more your thing.

I have Fallen Sanctuary, and I remember liking it quite a bit.

Now see, this is interesting.  So you give equal weight to each song regardless of length?  In my case your favorite of mine is over 5 minutes, whereas your least favorite is only two.  But I could see other entries having even greater disparities.

Now I see that, given the EP was to be intended more strictly as a collection of songs, maybe that wasn’t the best idea and the faves/least faves list seems to confirm that as a stand-alone piece, maybe not the most striking…oh well…

At the end of the day it comes down to the song. If the 2:28 song is awesome, then it gets scored accordingly. Length does not equal better...so I've been told..lol

Well, I mentioned that the EP should have some flow, so you're not wrong for what you did. You just may have chosen the wrong song to do it with. Yeah, just looking for a collection of songs, but in my mind, there should be some sort of..I don't know..some sort of connection..and even that's not the term I want to use.


But no points are added or deducted for flow/lack of flow. There's one EP, in particular, that is locked in perfectly on a subject, and it really does tell a story. As a whole, it's an amazing experience. I would love to give it extra credit for this, but if I strictly take the songs and compare them to other EPs, they don't hold up. So I can't.
