Arizona sweet tea is my weakness.

Also love hot green tea sweetened with blackberry honey. Take that over coffee any day.

Milk first is fine (and may even be preferable according to some research) if you are using a sperate brewing vessel like a teapot. If you are brewing directly in the cup then milk first will lower the temperature too much and cause a bad infusion.

But ultimately taste is subjective so make the tea however you damn well please. If you want to try some varieties other than bog standard English breakfast style black teas, try these to start:

Lapsang
Assam
Oolong

From there try varieties that are listed as similar to the ones of this list that match your flavour preferences.

Lapsang is good stuff, I used to use it in a tea smoked salmon dish I did years ago.

Go to a tea shop. Buy loose tea. They've have a ss mesh holder for the leaves. So many style to try. Start with smal batches of a few different kinds to figure out what you like.

I think you'd love it.

Where you a coffee drinker?

yes, usually one cup of black fully caffeinated, so I'm looking for a strain of tea that gets me between 70 to 100mg of caffeine

I like oolong, Early Grey and occasionally Darjeeling. I don't have patience for loose tea only because I just fucking dont. I'm happy with my PG Tips, English Breakfast and the less expensive yet great quality 80 count box of Tetley British Breakfast.

As far as iced teas. I like Honest Tea's Lori's Lemon and Green tea.. Both very lightly sweet.

I can only speak to iced tea but my drink of choice is Pureleaf unsweetened.  I go through cases of it. Icy cold, over ice. So refreshing.

I am starting to have heartburn and I think the coffee i am drinking is a contributing factor

also, I am getting into breathwork, yoga and other meditative practices and i've heard of the calming aspects of certain Teas, so I figured I'd give it a shot.

That's another amazing one. They started making subtly sweet tea which is good as well.

MILK GOES IN FIRST!

....and 'Yorkshire Tea' is where it's at.

Being from the UK seeing all these PG Tips recommends is amusing, that's Old peoples tea of choice!

Thanks.  Was just curious.  Yeah the acidity of coffee definitely can cause some heartburn.  Unfortunately, I've never really liked tea.

This.

I wasn't much of a tea drinker until recent years. One that I like a lot is Greek Mountain Tea (Sideritis), or anything with peppermint. I went to this store in person a few years ago while visiting the area, and have been buying from them ever since.

Tea can be great, both iced in the Summer (I have an Iced Tea Maker in fact), and hot tea especially in the winter.

Trouble for me is, most black and even green teas are high in Oxalate, which for myself and many others is something to avoid getting kidney stones.

I drink it with plenty of lemon or lemon oil.  The acid in the lemon juice helps to dissolve kidney stones.  :tup
