If Dorothea Taylor isn't top 10, you're all cowards.

I had to decide between her and Meytal Cohen.

For some reason people treat her like a joke, but seeing her cover of Tool's "46 & 2" got me to start taking drums a lot more seriously awhile back. 

I only mentioned her because, if my brief investigation of Dorothea Taylor was accurate, they're basically the same person, separated by 40+ years of age.

Yup...there's tons of really talented female drummers to follow on YT. I find a good deal by following the Hit Like A Girl contest, an annual contest celebrating female drummers. Some amazing talent comes through that one, including that 7 year old that covered Haken for her submission (she actually takes lessons from Ray), she just finished her cover of Messiah Complex at 8...while I sit here and binge Battlestar Galactica for the 4th time at 53

To each their own, but I cannot imagine putting someone on the list who is a YT sensation who just covers songs.  You need to be a good drummer and playing original songs of your own (or your band's) to be worthy, IMO.

Looking him up this guy has one hell of a resume, I've definitely heard some of his work before but never did the work to find out who it is.

Cozy made my short list, but not the top 25. Never was a fan of Testament. Must be a pretty diverse batch of drummers we collectively submitted if being in 7 and 8 lists is all it took to crack the top 25.

This alone would have put him on my list - I love those albums and consider them to be the second best iteration of the band.  Glad to see he made it, he's a beast.

Not only diverse but rankings where all over the place for most drummers.

Don’t think I’ve heard any of Hoglan’s work, have probably heard something by Powell given the bands he’s played with, but certainly not familiar with his playing. I definitely know of him though.
