I just noticed someone share this today.

If you use Spotify, this app will show you how your taste compares in terms Obscure taste, sad music and other things.

I want to say last.fm uses a similar algorithm.

Your music is more obscure than 95% of 1,790,904 US users on Obscurify. The higher the rating, the more obscure.




WOW.   Stunned by that.  I was expecting to be sort of the Anti-Lonestar.

I mean, given that the most streamed songs on Spotify are mainly pop, R&B and the likes, I would expect almost everyone on here to be on the 75%-100%.

Since there's a credit card associated with your Spotify account, you've given the unknown owner of the app access to that card info (along with all other data on Spotify).  You can remove the permission via the account menu on Spotify.
