They were a bonus question at my weekly trivia this past week:  "A numbers question; there are three members of Hanson. Tell me the number of albums they've put out times the number of kids they've put out."    It was some insane number like 167 or something.  11 albums and something like 15 kids between them.   They were certainly MMMMMBoppin'!

And there are a smattering of harsh vocals in Lost Domain, but those are male.

Are you sure about that?  All the official band sites for them I checked only list Catalina as doing vocals.  It's possible there are some uncredited male ones in spots (and Speed Strid is on one in particular), and I don't know if an official CD says differently, or if someone has seen them live.  But she's clearly doing some harsh-ish stuff starting at 1:49 live a decade ago, so it's not hard to imagine her going for it more on the album a few years later.  Some of the harshes on the albums easily sound like they could be her to me.

That 2023 round is going to be rough.... Especially if people start cock blocking the top bands with albums coming out in the earlier rounds.... Now that'd be a shame.

Yeah, to be honest I often don't even pay much attention to new releases until a month or two into the year, and especially this one with so much else on my plate.  Artists tend to know that January/February releases in particular are often forgotten about by the end of the year, so it's often a dead zone.  Many years I can't even find a ton that I love by then, much less that other people who I know far less about their tastes might enjoy.  I'll just have to make it work somehow over the next couple months.

Sent!  This was kind of like solving a puzzle, making everything fit in the proper round, but I think I have a good framework now, with tentative submissions lined up for each round except for '23, and alternates depending upon what else is sent and what else I learn about TAC's tastes in the meantime.

Yeah, I guess it can be an audio version of the "you can't unsee it" effect.  Maybe I need to lull you into them in a later round.    It took me quite awhile to acclimate to them myself other than Arch Enemy.
