So I'm using Ariich's template and I'm having the same issue Litho did. Anyone know how to fix it?

EDIT: Ariich is currently looking under the hood, so as soon as I get it back, I'll post it up. If not, I'll have to do it manually.

I'll have a look shortly once the kids are in bed. The template hasn't changed though, so either you and Litho are using it slightly wrong, or it'll be something like it behaves differently if used in Excel on your computer than it does in Google sheets. Anyway shouldn't be long.

I have some ideas, but I don't want to say for sure until I have it working right on my own.  Trial runs have been more promising than round 3, but I don't want to jinx it until I have the full mega-batch of songs and formatting.  Probably in a couple weeks from now I'll have the round 6 songs ready to post if we stay on schedule, and I'll talk about some things I figured out if all is going well then.  Otherwise I'll be sending the file to ariich, Buddy, and we might have to play H   A   N   G   M  A  N    again in the meantime.

Ok so as I suspected might be the case, the issue seems to be using it in Excel rather than in Google sheets. The output you copy is supposed to be column CA (for standard single-song roulette rounds) or BZ (for multi-song rounds), but in Excel it produces an error and just shows as #VALUE. Which is really frickin' weird because I'm sure I created this in Excel originally but now it doesn't work anymore in that format for some reason.

Anyway so I can see what you're instead doing is copying all the grey text boxes at the bottom, which is why it's adding the spaces.

If either of you has a Google account and can upload and use it there from now on, then it should work fine. But I'll also see if I can "debug" it so that it will also work in Excel in future.

No I've isolated the issue now. It's because the two platforms use the "concatenate" function differently (which basically joins text together, for those who don't know). In Google Sheets it's very flexible and it'll join individual cells and/or ranges of cells and/or a particular bit of text from within a cell. In Excel, it seems to only work with whole individual cells. I'm not sure I'll be able to get Excel to play ball with the way I've designed this spreadsheet, so it'll need to be Google Sheets where it works perfectly and you can just use the pink output column on the far right.
