He's already heard something from Abyss in an earlier roulette, I wanted to go in a different direction for some specific reasons. Something on Birth of Violence possibly could have worked, but there aren't really any songs on it with the particular traits I was targeting.

One of my favorite things to do after each round is to search and see if any of the songs from my rounds have been sent in other roulettes before. Quite often a few have, and it's fascinating to see which ones did much better in mine than for previous hosts, and vice versa. I kind of suspected this before even getting into the roulettes, but it's made it abundantly clear that there aren't really wrong songs to send so much as mismatches between host and sender. I'm increasingly understanding the appeal of sending the same song to different hosts as well, it can be entertaining to see the difference in reactions.

I saw King Gizzard live for the first time last night, and they closed with The Dripping Tap! Fuck me I shook my ass and danced myself to near exhaustion (it was the end of a two hour set). They were incredible and The Dripping is incredible.
