Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Glint is one of the best songs on it though.

I dunno man, I think it's pretty great from start to finish. It has no competition as my favourite Deafheaven album.

Solid album.  I liked how they had a couple of songs with clean vocals.

The Very Best Of Jackson Browne

I'm checking out his stuff, seems to be good singer/songwriter type music.

"Somebaby's Baby" has been one of my favorites since Fast Times....  Especially that organ and sliding guitar riff in the intro.

Deafheaven - Infinite Granite

I like the style they’re trying to emulate on this album, but their interpretation of it just falls flat for me. Especially the vocals. He’s a great screamer, but a weak singer. Mombasa is fantastic and is really the only track I ever come back to.

Despite my feelings about it, the album artwork has been my phone wallpaper for the last 2.5 years.

it's funny because I just listened to this one myself today (although I don't own it yet, but I will at some point)

Jeff Beck: Performing This Week Live At Ronnie Scott's (I love this one, barring Eric Clapton's appearance :D, Jeff's best band ever here IMHO)

Justice - Audio, Video, Disco.

There's some good songs here but a lot of them are held back by some of the most horrendous synth sounds I've ever heard. :lol I don't know why they sound like that, especially considering the production on their first album was basically perfect.

Love that song!  I play guitar in a cover band, and that is one of my favorites that we play.

I liked it when it came out but kind of lost interest after a few spins. Saw them performing the whole album live on Roadburn Festival last year and wasn't impressed at all. If am looking for that style there's a ton of other bands doing it better.

Currently listening to the collection of Opeth bonus tracks that I put on to one album on my iPod...

1. Derelict Hands
2. Still Day Beneath the Sun
3. Bridge of Sighs (Robin Trower cover)
4. Mellotron Heart
5. Patterns In the Ivy II
6. Den ständiga resan (Marie Fredriksson cover)
7. Would? (Alice In Chains cover)
8. Throat of Winter
9. Soldier of Fortune (Deep Purple cover)
10. Solitude (Live)
11. Circle of the Tyrant (Celtic Frost cover)
12. Var Kommer Barnen In (Live)
13. Remember Tomorrow (Iron Maiden cover)

This really is a great selection of songs that I should play more often. I never really think of Opeth when I think of great covers but they really did a great job picking these. Great songs and I feel they really do them justice. The non cover tracks are pretty damn good too.

"Yeah, "Derelict Herds", "Still Day Beneath the Sun", "Patterns in the Ivy Pt. II", and then "Den Standiga Resan", "Would?", those are some of their better songs, period.
