All today's releases

I've commented on Bruce's album and the Big Big Train on the respective threads (let me just say again how wonderful the BBT is, though). The new Firewind seems super-enjoyable. So is Hand of Goro - a trio with members of Spirit Adrift and Slough Feg. Hard Rock/Proto-metal with a nice, loose energy, with a bunch of influences, but all coming together nicely.  Not mind blowing, to be clear, but fun.

I can't keep up with you, Nick!

I'm giving the Bruce a second listen right now.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

Been working from home more recently, so have more of a chance to have albums in the background. Doesn't mean they are always super-focused listens, but I do go back and try to comment on them meaningfully (somewhat  ;)). If I may, I'd recommend the Excalion album I posted about yesterday. I have a feeling you might enjoy it.

I have their Dream Alive album saved in my Spotify library. That said, I couldn't tell you the first thing about it, but when I sampled it, I must've liked it.  :lol

Hands of Goro! Awesome!  :metal :lol

The few Firewind songs released are pretty good.  Didn't realise this was out already too.

Re:  Darkest Hour's Perpetual | Terminal, on first listen this seems even better than their last few.  The title track is just the perfect 90s-style melodeath track I'm always on the hunt for, with acoustic breaks and all.

I've been hooked on the new Monkey3 album for the past few days. It's hands down one of the best instrumental albums I've come across in the last couple of years, and it's likely my album of the year so far!

David August - D’ANGELO

I’ve only heard a few tracks because I came across this artist through a playlist but his productions sound insanely good and enveloping. Ambient electronic moody downtempo indie pop with lots of wonderful sounds. Really enjoying this.

Job for a Cowboy - Moon Healer

The album cover drew my attention because it looked so psychedelic. Never checked this band out because I thought they were a hyped up deathcore band (well, they were). This stuff and their previous record Sun Eater (which was released 10 years ago) seem like killer prog tech death albums. Awesome stuff.

Going to check out that Monkey3 album, this is second time I’m seeing someone rave about it on the internet.
Not 'Down To F***', but 'Dream Theater Forums' .

These two next...

Vennart - Forgiveness and the Grain
Bolt Gun - The Tower

Anyone check out The Tower last year. It's a post/drone-metal album featuring some sweet sax. It's a bit of a claustrophobic listen at times but really good.

The Slight Lie is interesting. It's as if King Diamond wrote an album for Vanden Plas. There's some modern metal-corish vocals sprinkled throughout but they're not really all that harsh. Lots of energy!

The Hands Of Goro...yeah. I almost tapped out after the second song, but it really started to grow on me. The singer is kind of Mike Muir-ish and has a Motorhead feel to it.
