Second is Chapel of Disease...we discussed it today on this thread. Quite tasty. You might like it...the vocals are very Tribulation-like, the music is quite interesting...nice guitar solos, and overall a sound that's both dynamic and "relaxed", if that makes any sense. I'd check it out. Sgaile - you already gave it a listen, I think. Scottish band (guy)...a bit too long, but epic stuff with very compelling melodies.

I didn't remember the Sgaile. I had to check my list. Yeah, its interesting, but not for very long. :lol

The CoD, yeah, I can see the Tribulation reference. It's ok.

Somehow I'm not convinced to check it out.  :lol

Do it, don't listen to Tim. :P

Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Classic Slayer, such a good album.  Been a long time since I've spun that CD actually.

I have listened to that particular F&J album a few times, it's very very good.

New Saxon is as we both know, solid as fuck.
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.

I think I'd put myself in that camp too.  The holy trilogy of RIB, SOH and Seasons is close to untouchable though, so any of the three is gold.

People used to rave about this album back in the day, but I never tracked down a copy back then and then just stumbled upon one on Discogs the other day. Pretty good stuff. A bit like John Arch (but a better singer) singing better recorded Mullmuzzler material (this was Matt Guillory's original band). Kind of is too bad they disappeared after one album.

Excellent album. They did demo a second album but nothing came of it.

Frontrunner for death metal album of the year...

French death metallers Exocrine - Legend.

Only one listen in, but I'm gonna hit this again with my headphones later. Really good Progressive Death Metal with plenty of melodic  parts without ever becoming full on melodeath.
