Caligula's Horse - Charcoal Grace / a lot to like on first impression. Casual listen but I already like this one a lot more then the last one.
Vipassi - Lightless / Progressive, atmospheric metal with really good songwriting. Band includes Benjamin Baret and Dan Presland from Ne Obliviscaris.

Just getting round to this. It was way better than I expected! The title track, in particular, was a belter.

I was surprised how good most of Riot's stuff was when Tim did his listening party thread.

This is decent enough.  Not blowing me away and I feel myself drifting while listening, but it's definitely easy listening.

It's definitely enjoyable. Nothing to really go crazy over, but January has been brutal for new releases, save for the Saxon.

Gonna hit the TWNAH-TSHF-UA run this week.

The System Has Failed was the one that really made me take notice of Megadeth again.

13 is terrible.  SC is for me, okay.  Not great, but some decent stuff in there.

TSHF is amazing.

Such a lovely album, very gentle and a bit of a slow burner. Cinema Verité in particular is delightful.
