It's 1979 music...so..it's old. But the first two songs are awesome so it definitely starts off strong. The first song has such a great guitar solo in the outro.

Check it out, I think you'd dig it.  Has a song with Daniel Heiman (albeit, it's pretty modern sounding and not normally his style).  Also has songs with Ripper, Mark Boals and Goran Edman.

I'm just getting into Hibria.  You sent me Millennial Quest in a roulette many many years ago.  I always meant to follow up on them but things slip by, yet as you know with Spotify you get random playlists after an album has played (or I do anyway), so after Lost Horizon on the weekend a playlist started and decided to skip through it and Steel Lord on Wheels came up and I almost crashed my car it was so badass.

Those first two albums are really where it's at with them. They started changing band members and shit after that, so now the Hibria band doesn't actually have anyone from these first two albums, but those two albums fucking rule. The bass playing is sick, and Iuri Sanson fucking kills it with his pipes.

Yeah, I've read a little about them, and the reviews on the albums seem to drop as the albums go on.  First album is amazing.  Just onto the second one now actually but interested to see where they end up in the later albums.  Yeah, this dude's vocals are fucking incredible.  Guitars are good but vocals and bass are definitely where it is at here.

Shit, this is another album you recommended to me a couple of years ago.  I listened to it once and was impressed but for some reason never went back to it.  I actually saw the name in Spotify also on the weekend and made a note to go back to it. I had no idea it was the same singer.  Will check all these out too. 

Edit: Holy shit, just saw that Christian Munzner from Obscura is in this band too.  Alright, will check all their albums!!

Fire Down Under is my favorite of the Speranza-fronted albums. Yes, they do sound somewhat "old", but their sound lands right in between proto-metal and hard rock, and it's plenty fun (I know you don't need any convincing, Tim). And Mark Reale is (was ) great.

Can't tell if you were being serious when you said they chose the weird seal mascot because of all the seals that mankind has cruelly clubbed to death.
